If I could give more stars I would. The hotel is the best I have ever stayed in, feels more like home than a hotel with unique rooms and decoration. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they made special GF food at breakfast for my mum and sister. They even sourced voltage transformers for us to use our 220v equipment. The atmosphere is what really sets Vila da Santa apart and this is all down to the staff, they are so relaxed and genuinely friendly you feel at home straight away (special thanks to Dany for dealing with all my family throughout our stay). None of the false smiles and greetings you get in most 5 star hotels. The location was great for us too, a private beach area right behind the hotel and a lovely walk along the cost to get to the main shopping and restaurant area of Buzios. When I return to Buzios I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

If I had to pick something negative I would say that the food is a bit too expensive but it is fantastic tasty food. Can't think of any other negatives really. It's exceptional.

the Vila was peaceful and beautiful, the service was impeccable and the food was very good.

The view was not what we expected as beachfront, we could see the ocean over the tree tops a little. It was a beautiful view, but wouldn’t describe it as beachfront, although it was facing the ocean opposed to facing, for example, the village.

Location was perfect! Breakfast was perfect! Staff friendliness and assistance was perfect!

Our room (a standard room), was rather uninspiring, but excellently maintained and, of course, very clean Some nights there is music; until 11 pm or so; if one prefers a quiet night, that is not possible

The hotel is very centrally located, all of the central attractions can be reached within 10 minutes of walking distance, as well as 3 different beaches. Our hotel room was, consistent with the design of the whole hotel, very stylish, in the imperial design and super clean (which is a big point for me, as I'm coming from Switzerland;) ). The hotel overall is very beautiful, like a small village, with a mix of European and Brazilian styles. We had a very warm welcome at the reception, the personnel was always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was super delicious and fresh, the variety of foods is great (from granola to croissants, acai, tapioca, etc. you can get everything). Also, the restaurant "La gare" which is located in the hotel has a very delicious variety of foods, it is well known in Buzios and many non-hotel guests dine there as well. All in all, we had a wonderful stay with many beautiful memories.

The one special thing about this hotel is the staff. I have never felt so warmly welcomed in a hotel and it is just beautiful to see how they are all wholeheartedly enjoying their work.

Unfortunately it was raining for some days, and Buzios is not the ideal bad weather destination. Bug that has nothing to do with the hotel of course

More expensive that most five stars hotels, doesn't differ from most inn's around the place

The property is in a perfect location and right on Ossos Beach and close to everything you could ever desire in such a beautiful & tropical paradise. The staff treated us like royalty and was there for our every need. Truly over and beyond any of my expectations! Thank you Cynthia, Matias, and Yumi. My daughter and myself will surly be returning in our next visit to Buzios! Dreams come true in Buzios !!!

Not a one dislike

Right after entering the hotel one can enjoy the attention and passion for every detail: from lobby to the beach, from restaurants to the rooms, everything has been chosen to please all the feeling of the guests. Personnel was eager to help you with all your wishes. Breakfast was personally cooked for every guest and really delicious. The hotel is perfectly located, within walking distance to the main beach and best restaurants and shops. Strongly recommend!

The massage

Quaint, charming Spanish-villa like hotel. Overall, facilities are great and staff is excellent and thoughtful.

Pool area is small but quaint. You need to reserve the heated pool.
