I stayed in Casa Acquamarina for 3 nights with my girlfriend and we loved everything! Starting with our host Peter! He's such a heartwarming presence. Always a good company, and has some great tips on what to do in Atins. He also goes out of his way to keep his pousada respectful of surrounding nature, and cooks incredible breakfast every day. Made mostly with homegrown products! The room itself was simple and confortable, everything we were hoping for. Thank you Peter, and hope to see you again. Be it in Atins or elsewhere :)

The Pousada is really lovely. The owner, Peter, and his staff are very welcoming. The shared spaces such as the breakfast area and hammocks are awesome.

I did a private tour to the Lençóis Maranhenses park with a guide (Luis Tour Atins) recommended by the Pousada. The guide was nice enough and knew the park very well. However, we originally agreed on a price for a private tour, but when two other people joined (which I didn't mind), he became greedy and kept insisting on the same (high) price as for the original private tour, while charging the other two people a much lower price. This is just unfair and rude. Only after having a difficult discussion with him did he agree to charge me the same as the other two. Also, Luis doesn't speak a word of English or Spanish, only Portuguese.

It was absolutely incredible! Well, I was very sick and unfortunately I couldn't do all the tours, but Dal and all the crew took amazing care of me. They were frequently asking if I needed anything else, mostly they would provide some coconut water, which helped me a lot. Oh, you guys should definitely go to Coco Loko, is a kiosk from the owners, there you can also find an extended version from Acquamarina family with lunch and drinks. Bed was so confortable and the Moskitonetz is definitely worth it! Last but not least, the breakfast is made with love, you can have fresh fruit, juices, cake and loads of delicious regional food. Thanks again for everything and hopefully till soon, because anyway, I didn't get the chance to enjoy the lençois at the fullest. 💜

Beautiful pousada and people! Lovely colors and artistic details throughout the space. Beautiful landscaping w/ trees and flowers that highlight the natural beauty of the area. Incredible gourmet breakfast!! Sooooo good. Peter is an amazing cook and lovely person. His cats and his dog are also very sweet. Felt like home away from home. Had a great stay and hope to visit again! (Note for others: I went for kitesurfing, and there are lockers you can rent on the beach to store your equipment, so you don't have to walk through the sand with it every time. This was super easy and convenient.)

What we appreciated most is the philosophy of the owner who did not build a cash-machine (as there are regrettably several in Atins), but decided to respect his environment and the "root" spirit of the village. No clim, no swimming pool but he did this without compromising confort and you feel very comfortable there. The breakfast which is partly done with products of the garden is clearly the best we had in our stay in Brazil. Hope this pousada will continue long !

Very friendly and committed people to help. Peter always very supportive and kind. It is not a fancy place but brings all you need to experience about nature, rusticity and atmosphere of Atins. A little confusion about updating the booking (not property's fault) was locally discussed and resolved.

Nothing to say about it.

The owner, Peter, is a fantastic host. He really considers the guests as his own friends and not as regular customers. It is not too far away from the city center and although there aren't AC in the rooms, the units are well ventilated and we didn't have any trouble with mosquitos nor heat. Superb breakfast in a style that you won't find anywhere else in Atins.

Not much to say. Great value for money. Yet, for those travelers who are seeking for extra comfort/convenience like AC, free transfers and other facilities like bars, pools and so one, this is probably not the best place to stay in Atins. The pousada Acquamarina has a more intimate and relaxed vibe. So, better to set the right expectations.

Casa Acquamarina was really a little piece of paradise - it is very cute and clean and it has the most amazing breakfast - the best one of our whole stay in Brazil ! It is difficult to talk about Acquamarina without mentioning its owner, Peter, who is so kind, enthousiastic and passionate about his place that he makes you feel like home. One regret - to not have spent more time there!

Amazing place, the best place I stayed during my travel of 5 months! The owners are really kind and Peter makes the best fresh breakfast you can imagine! The garden is beautiful and the way the rooms and place are designed is very special and beautiful. I loved it!

My friend and I stayed at this beautifully kept pousada in Atins and we loooved it ! We got a fully contained bungalow, spacious and decorated w style. The pousada is large, with palm trees and even a mango tree on the property. Ample common area to relax in one of the many hammocks. Good Wi-Fi and a very hospitable innkeeper who helped us arrange tours, not to mention the hearty yummy breakfast he prepared for us. Would defo go back !
