We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation, which is perfectly located just a few meters from the historic city center. The property itself is beautiful, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety and high-quality options. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The room was also very nice, clean, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. However, one minor downside was that my room faced the street, so it was quite noisy whenever cars passed by, especially at night. Additionally, there were no hooks for towels in the bathroom or the bedroom, which would have been a small but useful addition. Also the Wifi didn't work in our room, but in the main area. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this place for its central location, great service, and relaxing atmosphere!

Beautiful property in great central, but peaceful, location. Lovely gardens & common areas. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English and created a lovely atmosphere at the hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable and breakfast was amazing every day. Really enjoyed the freshly baked cake every afternoon! Undercover parking was an added bonus.

Just two minor thoughts here - the swimming pool desperately needs re-tiling, it didn’t stop us enjoying it but it would help with the high class finish of elsewhere. Also, it would be good to see them doing more to reduce single use plastic - such as too many small water bottles being used to fill the water container used at breakfast and teatime and little bottles of shampoo in the bedrooms.

Boutique Hotel Carpe Diem is such a beautiful hotel only a few mins walk away from the old town. The hotel is kept in pristine condition, and decorated beautifully. Our room had air con which was welcomed after staying in other hotels without it in 30 degree heat! The staff are so lovely and friendly, and very helpful in arranging the trips we wanted to do, as well as recommendations for restaurants and helping with transfers back to the airport. There is a good selection of food at breakfast and there is also the option of fresh food (eggs, tapioca etc). The afternoon coffee and freshly made cake in the afternoon is also a lovely offering, and allowed us to wind down after a full day of exploring to enjoy the setting of the hotel. I definitely recommend staying in this beautiful hotel and hope to return one day!

The staff went above and beyond to be welcoming and helpful. The ability to do laundry was much appreciated! The included breakfast was delicious as was the cake of the day during afternoon tea. This hotel is ideally located very near the historic centre, only a couple minutes walking. The grounds were lovely and it was so nice to relax in the lounge. Would definitely stay again!

Sound carried a little between rooms, but it was not very bothersome.

A small hotel beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Easy, less than 5 mins walk from historic centre. We had a room with a nice view and comfortable bed. Nice big bathroom and a great shower. Our breakfast was cooked to order and it was delicious. Usual items were available buffet style. We enjoyed the tranquility of a place compared to other bigger pousadas. The owners focus on quality in every aspect. If you enjoy treating yourself to little luxury without breaking your bank account then this place will tick all the boxes

The pool is rather small (so if you want to swim this place is not for you) and some of its tiles have fallen off. But I guess that’s usual wear and tear that will eventually be fixed.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. A couple of minutes walk from the old town, so close enough to everything, but made it nice and quiet. All the staff, reception, cooks/cleaners etc were absolutely lovely and so helpful. They organised a transfer for us to get to our next destination, which was great. :) Our room had a beautiful view, we even saw marmosets in the morning! It was lovely and clean and also smelt great! Bed was comfortable and there was also Netflix on the TV which was good. Breakfast was excellent and we loved the choice of fresh fruit every day.

Two minor criticisms are that the air con was a little bit weak and we couldn't seem to get the room any cooler. Our room was also at the top of the stairs above reception/kitchen, and could have maybe done with a door at the top/bottom of the stairs as we could hear kitchen noise in the evening and morning. However, these are very small criticisms and we would definitely stay again.

The hotel location is very close to the main town center of Paraty but away from the noise at night. The hotel has a beautiful garden and the property is well maintained. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed (such as recommending restaurants and making a dinner reservation for us). The breakfast was good with fresh fruits and a la carte options to order. The complimentary afternoon tea/coffee and cake was a nice touch.

I don't think the accommodation is worth the cost. The price per night is quite steep for what you get.

This is a little hidden gem in Paraty. It’s charming,rustic but very clean. So glad we stayed here after looking at a few other hotels. It was 5 minutes walk from the cobbles streets. So not bothered at all by passing tourists. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. It was my 50th birthday and they surprised me with a gluten free cake. Very thoughtful. Wouldn’t hesitate in coming back again.

Room was very clean and comfy, people were very friendly, Rinata at the reception was very helpful, kind and informative, she made everything very pleasant. Breakfast was good, not much varieties but was good, and the cooks were very sweet. Location is great, walking distance from the historical city, yet not noisy, and was good to have designated parking area for the hotel

Nothing, slightly expensive though

Despite an initial confusion regarding which room was booked the stay was wonderful thanks to the wonderful manager and staff. It turns out that not all the rooms touted as garden view in the booking.com site are actually garden view. This was subsequently fixed after two nights and the stay was excellent.

The booking.com site needs to be updated to reflect the types of rooms. There was nothing negative about the stay,
