A very clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. The check-in was good, and they spoke English and were very helpful. A lovely pool with great views. A nice bar area on the ground floor. Walking distance along the coast to a great buffet restaurant and night market which we visited most evenings.

The first breakfast was a disaster - they'd run out of bananas by 8am, there were no cereals, no soya milk, no black tea, let alone English Breakfast Tea, no gluten free bread and the staff in the restaurant didn't speak English, so it was difficult to ask for anything. They did upgrade us for the rest of our stay to the Mirage restaurant for breakfast, which you usually have to pay for, and that was better, but the service was extremely slow. Don't think they get many English tourists there, as the only staff who spoke English were on the front desk.

It was clean and had great facilities, I particularly enjoyed the pool and also made use of the spa (which you can pay extra for).

Almost all staff were amazing but I was disappointed that a member of staff told me and my friend that we shouldn’t go into Olinda for carnival as it was too dangerous! The whole reason we went to Recife was to attend carnival! We went anyway but wonder whether other travellers would be out off and miss out on a great experience!

Location was fantastic, staff were engaging and friendly without being intrusive. Highlight of our stay was Heron in the restaurant - anticipated our needs & was extremely friendly and professional.

One iron for the hotel, located on the top floor seemed a bit bizarre. While having a drink, there was an issue with printing the bill & when the issue was resolved, the bill was sent to our room to be signed - except by this time it was 10:30pm & we were already in bed.

After staying in dozens of hotels in the last 12 months this was the best experience ever. A hotel where you felt honestly welcome. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Especially the waiter Edson made our breakfast delightful. If I wrote about all the little things that impressed me you wouldn't read this review because it would be too long. We already decided to return to this wonderful hotel.

After discussing the negative parts over the last 5 minutes we gave up! There are none!

Staff was amazing and would do anything for us. Great breakfast at both the mirage and the buffet. Nice gym with everything you need. Lovely pool area.

We were in the disabled double room and honestly for a 5 star hotel it is in absolute shambles. Everything super outdated and most fixtures were loosely fitted on the walls, bathroom had mildew and limescale building up on the shower. I know it's a not the most expensive room in the hotel but still needs to be looked after.

I think the facilities are paying the pass of the years, In my room the doors were in bad shape and the main one every night I had the sense it did not close properly, some paint and locks maintenance could help. Other thing that I noticed was a leak in the shower, in these times of environment and water protection, it does not look nice.

This hotel was immaculate! The room was perfect for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary, view of the beach was spectacular, and that still pales in comparison to the 5 star service we received everyday throughout our stay. The live saxophone and piano during breakfast was an extra special touch.

There is absolutely nothing I did not like.

Location was fantastic, but a LITTLE bit far from the main beach to reach on foot. Just stopped for snacks and sips along the way. The breakfast was PHENOMENAL. We had the rooftop pool to ourselves and the room was clean and super comfortable. We enjoyed the option to open the windows and feel the sea breeze! Staff was incredibly helpful.

Special Breakfast Restaurant for suite customers.

On our second visit, we had a very bad check-in experience. When we were finally assigned our suite at 3 p.m., the keycards didn't work. After three trials they finally succeeded to enter the room which was unacceptable. It took another half hour and a discussion with the manager to finally get another nice suite with a working lock.

Service was great! The staff was really responsive, polite, and informative.

My only complaint is that my room was outdated. The bathtub was awful; it was stained from years of usage. All of my friends had small suites, the one on the 10th floor was beautiful and updated. Also, the lighting in the room was difficult for makeup applications.
