The hotel is in a premier location with a sea beach at a distance of 100 meters and the rooms are really good with a window view (not a sea view). The hotel staff are very professional and welcoming for every query and try to help you in every possible way. The cleaning staff is really good and make sure that your room is clean every day. There is a small refrigerator, TV, and central AC in every room. The reception service is good and you can contact them any time for anything. There is a free gym and pool facility in the hotel which makes your stay very comfortable as well as enjoyable

I am a vegetarian and found fewer food options in the area but if you can research properly during travel planning you can find some good vegetarian options

I did NOT like the fact the water provided was not Free, and the only way you knew that is if you bothered to scan a small QR code (which I'm certain nobody does!) I didn't find out until check out I owed the hotel nearly £80 in bottled water charges. DISGUSTING! The staff at reception should tell guests this on arrival, its really poor not to and catching people out like this. Not happy.

My friend and I had a delightful stay at the hotel. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool, which was nice and warm. The rooms were cleaned and tidy each morning, which was a nice touch. We also dined at the Italian restaurant inside and found the food to be delicious with a variety of meals to choose from. The staff were incredibly friendly, and it was a relief that everyone spoke English.

Barra is a wonderful place to stay, but one minor inconvenience is that during peak hours, you can get stuck in traffic if you want to go to Ipanema, Copacabana, or the city. Other than that, it's a great area.

The breakfast was amazing, everything was super fresh and delicious. The hotel and room was pristine clean. The room is not spectacular, but functional. The air conditioning worked well although it is a bit noisy. The staff was super helpful. The area around the hotel is safe, with nice restaurants and close to a metro station.

Lovely stay. I would recommend. Only 2 blocks from the beach. You have an amazing view from the 18th floor where the pool is. You have a sauna and plenty of space to hang around. The breakfast was big and plenty of choices. Staff was friendly and always willing to help. Great attention from the reception and the bellboys. TV in room had Netflix which wouldn't be my choice on a holiday but as it rained quite a lot it was useful to be able to spend a night in.

Everything was just fine. Only thing the dining room was quite cold. I think the air con was a bit too much as I had to wear a cardigan. I saw many people going to get something warmer to wear.

They could be a bit more accommodating to reasonable guest requests - they charge for everything! Early check-in, hot water (for tea), lemon… I spent a week in the hotel with my family and I think these are such normal things… I never got charged for them in the many hotels I stayed around the world…

The hotel is literally 2 minutes away from the beach. They give you towels in case you didn't bring any. Breakfast looked good and the restaurant in the lobby is extremely good. The staff was very nice. Nice pool on the roof and good service overall. The room was comfy and large, nice bathroom. Also, it's not very close to the center of Rio, but the area is very nice, quite and clean.

Can't complain at all. I was there for a business trip, and I found it weird that it is very hard to find a power outlet in the common areas (like the bar on the rooftop).

Breakfast was very complete. Staff was friendly and helpful. Though I did not have the room serviced during my stay, they would call every night to check and see if I needed anything.

There was no tissues in the room and I needed an iron. When I asked the front desk if they had an iron, they said they did not and only offered ironing service. I just wanted to iron my own clothes

I can recommend this location, attended a conference which was held in the same complex. The view was great and the beach was just few meters away. The personell was always very friendly and helpful (however, not everyone speaks English there). Restaurant is good, breakfast was awesome, and the fitness room was satisfactory.

The steet you have to cross to come to the beach is quite busy, especially during business hours. This could take a while to cross. Also, there were few issues with the quality of the WIFI connection.
