First and foremost - staff is great. Cabo Verdian people are very open, friendly and always ready to help. Special kudos: cleaning lady and evening chef at restaurant. Location is nice - not the first line, but walking distance to anything you need (you need beach and restaurants, there's nothing else to do here :) ) Breakfasts are simple but ok.

We stay in the apartments, and the room infill was far from sufficient: nescafe coffee machine, but no capsules knives, but no cutting board frying pan (damaged), but no utencils to cook and so on kitchen consists of few empty cabinets) I understand its mostly dictated by country geographical isolation and problems with supply and restock, but fact is fact.

The room was very spacious with a nice terrace, breakfast was OK. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help, although one of the employees at the reception seemed to be always in a bad mood I believe his name was Idalecio. Short walking distance from the main street. Would definitely stay there again.

There was only one room card available, they couldn't give us an extra one. The room power is activated with the card, so when we were leaving the room and taking the card, the fridge was being switched off witch doesn't help if you have stuff there... Is also missing a rubbish bin in the room :)

The breakfast was nice, had plenty of options. The room was spacious and clean, with a small fridge which was an awesome addition. The pool was clean and the bar/lounge area was a nice and relaxing area. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when asked what sort of things you could get up to on the island. Lastly the Wi-Fi in the room was fine by cape verdean standers.

The beds are a bit on the hard side, the ac was locked to a specific temperature which was fine when entering the room after being outside, but after being in the room for a while it got kinda hot but wasn’t that big of a deal.

Everything was amazing! From the staff, facilities, and comfort. The staff was very attentive and helpful with anything that we needed. Breakfast was good with a good variety of food available. At lunchtime, we had tasty and cheep options available. The room had air conditioning, perfectly clean room and beds were comfortable. Slightly further away from the beach but a walkable distance and closer to the locals than to the turistival part of Santa Maria. Very quiet too. We felt at home.

Did not provide transfer from the airport.

The location was quite convenient to the downtown area; was within walking distance. The rooms were nice & clean. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. I especially loved the omelette with ham & cheese. Overall, great value for money. My wife and I would definitely stay there again!

Did not see kid activities. The website had mentioned there was a shuttle from the airport. I think it may be better to say taxi service because the guest could misunderstand to think it’s free.

I honestly don't think the pictures do it justice. It is a beautiful little hotel, very clean, the service from all the staff I came upon were lovely and helpful. The bedroom was a good size with lots of space to store all your belongings, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was nice and powerful. The breakfast was everything that you need for a breakfast, plenty fruit. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family

It is about a 10 minute walk from middle point of main strip in Santa Maria. But I am just lazy, it is not really an issue.

The hotel is located a short walk from the beach. It's located on the outskirts of the main hotels, restaurants and beach area but close enough to walk to. The room is modern and clean.

On my first night there, one staff member was really nice and helpful but throughout the rest of my stay, not so much. Not bad, just sort of lukewarm. Also, the air conditioning in my room could not be adjusted, and stayed at a very cool temperature all night. So I froze all night. I could only turn it off by removing the key card from the slot that controls the electricity in the room.

amazing location, near a super quiet amazing beach and only 10min walking from Santa Maria touristic centre. staff was very kind and helpful and the room very comfortable! breakfast was very good too with a lot of homemade cakes and savoury pastries.

even if everything was excellent I would suggest have a couple more vegetarian options of the savoury pastries as the meat ones looked delicious

We spend amazing time in Hotel. The staff are amazing smiling and making sure that you are okay. The breakfast were included with options of cold cults, fruit, pancakes, jogurt and amazingly good bread. They offer to make you eggs as you like. The rooms are big and nice with balcony and shower and they are cleaned daily. The distance to the beach is less then 5 minutes. Near by is a shop where you can get some snacks. The hotel has a pool but because we came to Cape Verde to rest on the beach we didn't swim there. The bar has so many options for drinks. Big THANKS is for the waiter who saved my life with fresh mint tea. If we will come back to Santa Maria we will definitely choose Hotel Da Luz again

We were before in Santa Maria Beach Apartament and breakfast was really bad, we were so happy to move to Hotel Da Luz where we finally had good breakfast!! Personal was very friendly , amazing swimming pool and on the roof place to do gymnastics and yoga. This hotel is very good choice, specially for this price.
