Lakeview Inns & Suites - Slave Lake

The staff was really friendly and accommodating! We have to shuffle around some bookings and they were able to make it happen with ease. The rooms are a great size and it was nice to have a table and chairs as I was there for work and needed computer space. The housekeeping staff tidied my room frequently which was appreciated!

The parking lot was very rough! Luckily I drive a large SUV but it feels like you’re off roading when trying to get to the other side of the lot.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were nice, the location was good for someone passing by. Super quiet and had a nice area n the back to let your pets out to use the bathroom.

The breakfast was very disappointing, it was over cooked scrambled eggs and cut up barely cooked smoked sausages, 3 out of the 4 juice machines only poured slightly coloured water and the waffle machine was empty. The parking lot was tiny, if you travel with a trailer you have to park on the road which was not ideal.

This hotel is an awesome choice when in the Slave Lake area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning is a real bonus. I'd had to check in really late (2:00am) as we'd had to make a detour to the local hospital due to my passenger having a migraine headache but the staff were very understanding and checked us in quickly so we could squeeze in the hours needed to rest before carrying on. We also managed to get a very good parking spot so fewer steps to get unloaded in the wee hours which makes a big difference when you have a toddler.

I can't think of anything I'd expect to have differently.

We three stayed for one night in February. The hotel is on the south edge of town, sharing a parking area with a Mr. Mikes. Reception was good. We got a double queen room on the second floor facing east. The room was good sized, with all usual amenities. There was a small table with two chairs to sit/read/whatever, along with a bar fridge and coffee maker. Lighting was adequate, but not bright. Temperature control was by wall thermostat and worked fine. The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. Many area workers use the hotel, so breakfast starts early and ends at 10 am. There were scrambled cheesy eggs, sausages (smokies), waffles, bread to toast, bagels, oatmeal, etc. etc. The breakfast room isn't large, but adequate, particularly when the workers have left. Overall we recommend the hotel for a good stay when in Slave Lake.

Information in the breakfast room about the availability of fresh milk could be more obvious.

The staff are always very friendly and the rooms are clean.

Unfortunately there were a lot of other people also travelling for work who all woke up at the same time early in the morning and by 7 AM there would be no breakfast left. It was easy enough to coordinate times better the following days but it would be appreciated if they had someone check and refill breakfast more frequently especially during busy season.

Breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent but perhaps normal 18% cream would have been nice. Coffee mate style cream was adequate for sure. Evening staff very patient and helpful. They deserve a raise!

Parking lot is a busy one! It’s going to need to be repaved at some future date. But this is the north and I understand keeping a parking lot in decent shape is difficult

Excellent service. Our bathroom light was barely working and after going to the front desk it got fixed promptly. Beds were comfortable and LOVED the pillows. It’s not often that I don’t get a sore neck from hotel pillows. These pillows were great! Free breakfast was good too. Plenty of variety.

Parking lot was quite rough, but just had to drive slow if lower vehicle.

We selected this hotel because it is pet friendly. We have two medium sized dogs. We stayed twice on the same trip. The second stay they gave us a free upgrade to a suite. That was very nice as their standard rooms have two queen beds making it a challenge to fit in two dog crates. There are very nice walking trails nearby where we were able to walk the dogs. The staff were all friendly. The breakfast was standard.

You can’t close the curtains for privacy or to darken the room. It would be nice if some rooms had only one bed, leaving more space for pets. The staff had trouble keeping the breakfast buffet filled.

Great facility. Better than average Breakfast. The four pillows per bed were unnecessary and unusable since they were all over filled. I could not use the pillows since the foam was over 6 inches high

good breakfast with plenty of choices such as fresh waffles, sausage, egg,whole wheat bread, healthy muffins, yogurt and fruit.

Lots of pillows on beds, but all were too fat! At least some of them could be a slimmer pillow with less volume, so that a person could have a choice .
