The location, New Denver, BC, is a very beautiful spot with the surrounding mountains. The staff at Valhalla Inn were excellent.

The Inn is dated, but I can appreciate that with this location it would be very expensive to complete upgrades. Don't go there expecting a 5 star hotel, this is a small town inn which is staffed by very nice people. I've seen comments complaining about "stink bugs". The inn does that these bugs, but if you live in this area, you realize they are everywhere and other than being a bit ugly they are harmless, and they don't move fast like the European Earwig which is also very common in this area.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The queen beds were comfortable but the sofa bed could be upgraded. My brother (76 years old) found he was a awake through the night off and on because of being a bit uncomfortable.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like, except for the early morning traffic which Valhalla Inn cannot control and neither can any other hotel/motel/inn. The weather was hot while travelling, but it did cool off enough during the night that we turned the provided fan off. If a fan had not been provided it could have been quite uncomfortable trying to fall asleep.

This family owned business is charming, and cared for. The rooms are clean and the food is very good. The family are extremely friendly and helpful and will go the extra mile. I enjoyed my stay!

Maybe some people wouldn't like the dated hotel but, I found it full of character and interesting and would stay again.

Friendly staff and a clean room. We were able to store our bicycles in our room which was handy. The restaurant is in the same building and the food is good. The rooms are spacious and clean.

There didn't seem to be any news channels on the t.v. but otherwise, we had no issues with the room or facilities.

The staff was absolutely amazing at this property including the little restaurant attached. They were so friendly and went above and beyond, could not give enough stars.

Great location for my trip. I was the third time I stayed in two year. Love the Kootenays. Live in North Vancouver. Reason for trip , motocycle enthusiast. Great host and very good service and food.

There was a restaraunt and gas station nearby. It was a nice stay, and taking pets is always good. There isnt much to do in new denver, but it is close to the downtown there is.

The room layout was odd with the tv in the corner. There was no ac and just a fan, so it might be a little warm depending on the weather.

We had a very large room, it was comfortable and clean.

It was an exceptionally hot day, and the room had no air conditioning. but room cooled off a night with an open window and circulating fan.

Great place to stay while on a camping trip through the Kootenays, nice to have a break from sleeping in a tent. Quiet, clean and comfortable, the restaurant had a good breakfast too!

Simple but very pleasant hotel. I was really impressed with the food in the restaurant. All the sauces for the Chinese food are home made and delicious. Dinner was a treat!
