The staff were very friendly upon our arrival and gave us all of the information we needed. Check-in was seamless. The room was incredibly spacious and clean with very nice furnishings. And the balcony, which also had chairs and a table, offers a beautiful view of the bay. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens and the shower was great - good pressure and lots of hot water. It was also nice to have a refrigerator in the room, and, although we didn't use it, the microwave is a nice touch and could be useful at times. Also, there was a bonus in that they provided complimentary donuts, yogurt and coffee/tea in the morning, which we weren't expecting. Overall, this was much, much better than the 3-star rating would suggest.

The only improvement I could suggest would be the addition of an elevator. The stairs are steep and a little bit of a challenge with any amount of luggage, although the staff offered to assist, which was very nice.

The location of the Hotel is brilliant. The rooms are well proportioned and comfortable. Every morning a sunrise from the balcony and every evening a beautiful sunset from the balcony. We enjoyed this with a great cup of coffee, provided for free at the reception, in our balcony chairs. The view from the hotel across the harbor and the see makes you realize what a wonderful place St.Andrews is.

The ventilator systems in the hotel are a little noisy and annoying, but the beds were very comfortable.

Our room was on the first floor, which if you request ocean front means you get to open up your door and walk out on the grass, access the sea wall, and sit on Adirondack chairs provided for each room. Breakfast is yogurt and doughnuts but at least they have a variety of coffee and tea plus decaf (decaf is difficult to find on the Cabot trail). They also provide a carton of 2% milk - I appreciated that. The sink outside the bathroom was wonderful - multiple people can get ready at once. traveling with a multigenerational family - bathrooms are always a challenge :) The reception folks are extraordinarily helpful and there is a liquor store across the street so if you want a glass of wine - pop across the street.

This isn't necessarily a criticism; I want to bring this to the attention of the public as this may assist someone in future planning. There are no elevators, I had to schlep my elderly parent luggage down and up narrow stairs. Accessing the car means you must go up the stairs, if you are traveling with folks who can not navigate stairs, you must request rooms on the same floor as the reception/check-in area.

breakfast no juice or fruit or hot chocolate..donut not yummy..i do not drink coffee..think you should add little yogurts and fruit ,bananas or apples to make stay even better ..thanks

I stayed an extra night because of how perfect the lodging was for me and my pup. Very clean, excellent location to walk to coffee, restaurants, shopping. The staff was very friendly and enjoyed the welcoming feel I received and talking to Jeri at the front desk. Coffee and fresh cake donuts in the morning. Bed were very comfortable.

Fantastic room overlooking the bay. Very well appointed, clean and comfortable.

Very friendly and helpful staff/owners. Everything was done very well. Although breakfast was not available there was good coffee, donuts and yogurt available. There are plenty of excellent restaurants close by.

Great location and hotel was extremely clean. Would definately stay again.

No elevator. Unfortunately our room was on the second floor due to a last minute booking and with some mobility problems, it was difficult to get up and down the stairs.

This hotel has an excellent location in town and wonderful to have a balcony facing the water. The staff went above and beyond helping us.

The bathroom was very small. Our door didn't seem to be very secure. I would prefer more options for breakfast.

Amazing ocean view on a balcony. Located in town, short walk to coffee, restaurants, whale watching, shopping.

Some decor is a bit dated, keys to doors not pass cards. Parking was full at end of afternoon, utilized street parking.

The room was wonderful with a great view and the location to attractions was perfect.

Only reason the review wasn’t 10/10 was because the pool heater was broken during our stay but we still decided to swim and brave the cool water.
