This is a beautiful establishment across from Fort Anne and a short walk to the main streat. The owners/operators are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. The food was incredible, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was incredibly clean. Please note that this hotel may not be appropriate for people with mobility issues as we were on the third floor up several sets of stairs. I highly recommend staying at the Garrison Inn.

Nothing. Even in a heavy down pour we were able to sit on their covered, screened in porch and enjoy an incredible meal.

I'm a bit of a sucker for heritage buildings, so I quite enjoyed the Garrison House (which was originally built in the 1850s, if I recall correctly?), and my room looked right out onto the remains of Fort Anne, for a lovely ramble just across the street. The innkeeper was friendly and very accommodating in helping me get my bearings as someone traveling without her own car. Breakfast was lovely!

Only a very slight quibble, given that it's a lovely old house, but the hot water seemed to run a bit cool in the lav, and the WiFi seemed a bit kittenish at first, though later in the evening of my stay it seemed to settle down. Not so much things I didn't like, just something to bear in mind, maybe, if one were (traveling with) a gentleman precious about his morning facial barbering, for example.

Personally, I am not a big breakfast eater. However, eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, yoghurt, juices, coffee and tea are on the menu. Garrison House has an in-house restaurant and they cook a good steak. Vintage furnishings add to the period feel of the house and each room has an en suite bathroom. Situated in a prime location, across the road from Fort Anne and easy walking to picturesque waterfront, museums, restaurants etc.

Washbasin in the bathroom was unstable.

The house is located in a perfect spot near everything. The room is comfortable but showing some wear. The bed was very good, and it was very quiet. The staff were lovely and friendly. We have stayed here previously and eaten in the restaurant several times. The quality has dropped slightly. The food was tasty but menue restricted.

Historic house with interesting spaces. Very friendly and kind innkeepers/chef/staff. Perfect location for exploring Annapolis Royal on foot or bike. The restaurant on site is great for breakfast, and a nice spot for dinner. Porch dining was a bonus on a pleasant evening.

It was a great stay for us. If you like cookie-cutter hotels and modern amenities, this Inn might not be for you.

We loved everything about this place. The owners were so welcoming and helpful. The food was fabulous! The suite was comfortable and quiet with a lovely little Deck outside to enjoy. Bed was excellent. Private Jacuzzi was a nice addition. Wifi worked well. Will definitely return,even if it's just for the excellent food and service.

The breakfast was made to order and was excellent. The location was great since it was in town. The décor was perfect for the age of the building.

The front door to the inn was very hard to open, the toilet was too close to the wall and the window in room #2.

We were fortunate enough to have breakfast and dinner in the exceptional restaurant. Outstanding food and service. Scallops were the best I’ve ever had.

Staff were friendly. It was interesting / different to stay in an old heritage house.

The sloped ceilings in the room caused some issues, but what would expect for a old heritage house.

Our stay was excellent. We enjoyed the staff and the service, we were warmly welcomed. The meals were wonderful!
