Cathy is a wonderful host. Before the first breakfast she said that she's "all about the food" and it's true. The food was delicious, all fresh ingredients and different each day. She went above and beyond to help make our stay there and our visit to the area the best possible. Mahone Bay is a lovely spot with good restaurants and a great feel. Also, an excellent jumping off point for day trips. Comfortable room, clear communication and interesting conversation when we sought it out.

Everything was great!

Breakfast was absolutely incredible a three course meal provided every morning by the lovely Cathy was the greatest start to my day. She makes sure to provide what you ask for which is beyond the expectation I ever have, I am a vegetarian and she adjusted the menu to my liking. Not to mention how beautiful the place is and how cleanly it is kept, location was fabulous as well all in all a perfect stay at the Fisherman's daughter.

Cathy was AMAZING! I love how personal the house is, it's eloquence and simplicity made the stay very welcoming. We had some last minute dietary restrictions which were catered to, thanks again Cathy! We also loved the location and history of the B&B, Cathy was most welcoming even at our late hour arrival and was most informative as well! We would definitely come back to this little Gem in Mahone Bay!

Our Hostess Cathy was exceptionally kind, helpful, energetic and humorous. Her B&B is very clean and comfortable and decorated with charm. She has taken the time to provide all the amenities that any large chain hotel would. Chocolates by the bed, specialty soaps, coffee, tea and much more. The breakfast she provides is amazing. Homemade scones,coisants, yogurts preserves, eggs, quiche are just some of the items she puts out. The location is picture perfect and close to many other attractions. By Choosing Fisherman's daughter B&B you will not be disappointed.

Nothing worth mentioning

The house is five minutes walk from the charming village centre, shops and two restaurants. It is a delightful heritage house and Cathy, the owner/proprietor has thought of everything in the comfortable bedroom/bathroom. She is very hospitable and helpful and interesting about what to do and see in the area and produces tasty breakfasts.

The initial welcome from new owner Cathy was very warm and friendly. She explained how door systems worked very clearly likewise with the breakfast arrangements. The real plus factor was the guests sitting room which we used one afternoon when it was raining heavily. It was good to have a space other than our bedroom to sit in. The cup of tea Cathy made us was a real bonus. Our bedroom was bright and comfortable the breAkfast excellent with the little piece of home baking most enjoyable.

Everything has been wonderful ! Beautiful quaint B&B, nice room, and marvelous innkeeper ! Cathy is very warm, helpful and above everything a great cook ! Scrumptious breakfast every morning, homemade bagel, poppy seeds bread…. Incredible ! We would love to come back again ! Thank you again for everything !

We had a lovely stay at this B&B! Cathy, the owner, makes sure to create a nice and relaxing experience with little thoughtful touches. The place is in a dreamy location, so close to restaurants and cute, quaint shops. The breakfast was excellent, with the added plus of fresh baked scones and bagels!

The room was a little hot and it was not possible to open all the windows, and the mini fridge in the room was noisy at night. But nothing to complain really, we had a great stay.

Cute bnb with an amazing host. Just stayed here for two nights as we were in the area for a wedding. Clean, convenient, and very comfortable. Cathy made us feel right at home and is a professional and warm host. Her breakfasts are so delicious (her homemade blueberry loaf is amazing!). Definitely recommend!

Excellent breakfasts, plenty of space, nicely decorated. Attention to details in each en suite. Has a cupboard of necessities, things you may have forgotten, that you can use. Cathy is very hospitable, gregarious and just a really nice person. Would definitely recommend this B&B!
