Slumber Inn

The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We managed to get a load of laundry done shortly after check-in. It was a big plus that a washer and dryer were available on site. Forgot to take my hat when checking out. Called to confirm that I had left it in the room. Back-tracked later in the afternoon to retrieve it.

Our pre-checkout room inspection could have been better. We got to Annapolis Royal on our way to Digby before I noticed that I had forgotten my Tilley hat.

The sheets and towels really were free of scents and fabric softener! Due to allergies, this was very important to us. I think the Slumber Inn should advertise its hypoallergenic facilities. The 24-hour coffee/tea machine in the lobby provided excellent coffee and tea. Breakfast included fluffy scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and plenty of bacon, in addition to the usual continental breakfast items. The room was clean, attractive and functional, incorporating all the important features with no wasted space. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The bottom sheets were flat, not fitted, and were not large enough to keep tucked in. The herbal soap and shampoo were scented. We couldn't use them, but had brought our own.

We liked pretty much everything about this place. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable and the staff is doing everything to help you. We needed a room closer to the entrance because of my husband's limited mobility, and they gave us one very close to the lobby and to the breakfast room. They also brought us a bench for him to be able to take a shower. Breakfast was great (scrambled eggs, ham, fruit, yogurt, cereals to choose from, wafers).

We appreciated being served breakfast due to Covid. Our room was comfortable and clean but of course this is an older Inn and could be updated. The bed was very comfortable. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and very helpful when inquiring about places to go. It was a convenient place to stay while we attended various aspects of the Apple Blossom Festival. So happy to find a Holy Bible in the bedside table a true blessing indeed, THANK YOU!

We found the bathroom floor very slippery when stepping out of the shower. Of course later we noticed the floor towel on the top of the toilet tank! Also as a senior (woman), my hands are not very strong and found the soap dispenser difficult to squeeze…would prefer the cakes of soap!

location, and staff friendliness. also the rooms were a good temp, even if I was on the lower level I didn’t feel like claustrophobic or anything and the room stayed warm all night and the AC also worked well.

nothing really except one thing I would recommend is just even having body wash in the bathrooms (I forgot mine at home so used liquid hand soap, lol) and also just a note pad and paper. I wanted to leave a note for the housekeeping team with a tip, but no paper or pen to be found. I only had like $4 in change on me and I felt bad so I wanted to explain why. in the end I just left it, hope they didn’t mind.

The staff we very friendly and helpful. I changed rooms because I didn't realize that tubs only came in the wheelchair accessible rooms, and it was an effortless transfer. The kitchen staff lady was really nice and served delicious blueberry waffles 🧇😋 Despite being seemingly busy, the place was quiet, which I really appreciated, as this was the first time I've been out without my kiddos and husband in a long time. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The heat was going full kilter when I got into my room, phew! Maybe try putting it in the normal range rather than the hottest selection? 😅 No big deal, I just shut it off for the night anyway and was perfectly fine to turn it back on in the morning to the normal setting. Please give us back regular silverware, haha, I'm sure the dishwasher will kill the 'rona just fine, plastic cutlery just sucks. 😉

The room was basic but comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic but well laid out and more than enough.

There was an adjoining door which meant we heard the conversation from the other room. We kept the TV on so our conversation would not be heard. This was a little off-putting.

Just off the highway near Wolfville, Kentville and Berwick and an hour to Halifax. Nice hosts and housekeeping. Small but clean functional room for two visitors and a pet, perfect for our ancestry day trips in the beautiful Annapolis valley. We would stay here again.

Only issue was a poorly placed single plug near the twin beds. Reception has extension cords.

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was more than I expected at a by-the-highway hotel, and the lady cleaning tables and restocking the food (eggs, bacon, waffles, toast, bagels, fruit, cereal and so much more!) was always smiling and very efficient. I would totally recommend this place, and will return to stay when we come back to the Annapolis Valley.

breakfast was great(could have had some bacon with the eggs). The room was very clean and the temperature was at a comfort level the made it great for sleeping. I found the bed a bit difficult to get into as it is a bit high but once in it was very comfortable.

when next renovations are being done to the rooms you should consider replacing the low slung toilets with comfort level ones. I am an older person and found it hard to drop down on the seat and then hard to get an assist from hubby to get up from that low seat. Just a thought for your elderly guests.
