This was such a unique experience. Denise welcomed us and showed us around. She made cookies for us and had those and mints in our rooms. The room looked out to the water and was comfortable. Enough space in the room and good size bathroom. Shower was a little small. Comfortable bed and pillows. Porch to sit out on and look at the beautiful view. The breakfast was fabulous and Allan gave us a slide show and narrative of the area and places to see. The night before he gave us recommendations as to where to eat and music and dancing to enjoy. We ate at the Red Shoe Pub. Such fun and great music. The highlight was Allan playing his fiddle for us at breakfast. A fantastic place.
Nothing to write here.

the hosts were very welcoming and helpful about things to do in the area. at breakfast Alain shared photos and stories of the history of the area, and played the fiddle. more than other bnbs, all the details were thought of and provided, from good lighting to a shoehorn, lots of surfaces for suitcases and toiletries, a nightlight, welcome cookies and chocolate, ice for a sting, etc.. breakfast was delicious, nutritious, and thoughtfully served. we had a lovely stay!

Great view of the sea. The bed was comfy, and the place was very clean. Enjoyed the cookies and chocolate left in our room. Ice in the freezer was appreciated. Plus, help unloading was appreciated. Info in places to ear and local.music was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We lived the homemade bread, too. The area history and info Alain shared with us was great. The tune on the fiddle was an added benefit. Great experience!
It was all great, no issues

Denise and Alain were terrific hosts. The breakfast was the best we had on our 11 day trip to Nova Scotia with homemade Quiche and homemade bread. Denise was very accommodating and couldn't refill our coffee cups soon enough. Alain played his fiddle for us at breakfast and gave us several travel tips (Colander Road sp? very scenic, Hike to Egypt Falls, and the Doryman restaurant for music) that we followed and enjoyed each of them
all good

It was a lovely quiet location. The bed was super comfortable. Beach within walking distance. A few restaurants nearby. We arrived to cookies and chocolates in our room. We were shown to our room and explained all the amenities by the owners. There is a minifridge located outside our room to store beverages or food which is a nice addition. Tea/coffee offered in your room or just outside our room. Breakfast was so yummy. All preserves were homemade and my fave was the pumpkin marmalade. Also homemade were granola and breads. Starters were orange juice, fresh fruit, cheese and sliced tomato. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back. There is beaches, hiking, cycling and lots of places to kayak for outdoor enthusiasts.
The only thing we didn't like was on us, we stayed one night and should have stayed an extra and brought our bicycles and kayaks.

The lovely ground floor room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. The view out the window was gorgeous. The bathroom was good with plenty of hot water. The towels and linens were lovely. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful. All the rooms are on the ground floor but the dining room is up a flight of stairs. This was no problem to us but may be for some people. the hosts were so accomodating I think they would bring breakfast down to your room if the stairs were a problem. The breakfast included home cooked items and was really delicious - the best breakfast we had on our 2 week Nova Scotia holiday.
There was nothing to dislike.

The owners, Alain and Denise, were kind and wonderful hosts. The facility was very clean and comfortable and our room had a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Alain even gave us a history summary of the area and directed us to points of interest. It was a fabulous stay and we wished we could have stayed longer than the 1 night we were there in September, 2024. Highly recommend!

Nice B&B with delicious breakfast (including homemade preserves and chocolate spread!). The hosts were both welcoming, and we appreciated all the info about the region and interesting photos they shared at breakfast time. We would have liked to stay a bit later to hear the host play some fiddle music, but unfortunately we had to leave early. We definitely enjoyed our short stay!
Nothing, it was great!

Alain & Denise were excellent hosts They greeted us upon arrival and offered suggestions on local restaurants and entertainment. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed, plus more. There were even homemade cookies in our room when we arrived. The breakfast they provided was to die for including homemade bread for toast. All in all an excellent stay. I highly recommend it to others.

Breakfast was delicious! Really enjoyed the omelet and the homemade bread, as well as several variety of jams. During breakfast, the hosts gave us a bit of a presentation and story telling about Mabou and Port Hood history and things to do, which were great suggestions that we would not have known about as tourists (off the beaten tourist track). We also got a small fiddle show! The room was clean, bed was comfy and it was great to have our own bathroom and key to our room door. Look forward to going back!
