The room appeared to have been renovated in the not too distant past, except for the bathroom. The main room was very nice and everything including the bathroom was very clean. Super nice bedding and towels! Comfy bed and pillows. Overall, we were happy with the room, but the bath could use some repair. We ate dinner and breakfast at The Voy Cafe, and food and service were great. All staff we encountered were very friendly!

There was a newer looking toilet, but there was a yellow 1960's looking tub and wall sink. The sink was cracked, the faucet loose and it sprayed all over if turned on too high. It appeared that perhaps the sink drain leaked, and they had the trash can sitting under the pipes.

Hassan and his team are amazing! The Voy has it all; super comfy beds, 24 hr gas, 24 hr store and a great restaurant. The rooms are clean and modern and loved the retro bathroom. Loved the Lemongrass toiletries. Super nice touch was a basket for the dog. They are doing a great job modernizing this place and I'll be back to see the progress. Amazing pebble beach (Schrieber Beach) about 5 mins away to take your dog for a refreshing swim in Lake Superior. Thanks Hassan!

Only complaint would be when travelling from the west a bigger sign would help find the place. Originally I went to the building that is about to be renovated, turned around and then saw the place. Google maps pin should be updated.

I honestly did not really know what to expect other than Booking had given it a chance. The property is retro - likely built in the 1950s. The current owners are bringing it back. They have refurbished one wing of 20 rooms along the road frontage. The rooms are large (mine had a king bed) and still plenty of room for desk and table. The room was also very clean. The new HVAC system works great. It was nearly 80 degrees when I checked it, so I put the AC on high.

Seriously nothing. Everything was in good working order. There was a microwave and refrigerator. There is also a cafe next door. There was plenty of lighting in the room. It more than met my needs (single woman with a dog).

Motel conveniently located off highway. Clean room, TV, and refrigerator/ Microwave in room. Comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Very acceptable for the price and very nice gentleman working at the store who checked us in. Liked that there are mattress covers on the beds also. I always check for bugs and everything was great

We had no pets but some cat scratches on headboard, husband is allergic to cats so hopefully no reaction occurs. Oh well though, we arrived at 8 pm after 14 hours of driving and there is absolutely no food to order ANYWHERE in town. We managed to buy the last 4 pcs of pizza at the convenience store for 33$ :( restaurant was unfortunately closed.

I've stayed at 4 hotels in the same week, (4-2 stars) and The Voy was the ONLY one that offered a welcome goodies for my dogs. I absolutely love when hotels do that. The room was cozy and beautiful perfect for a pit stop along this long highway. We didn't get to eat at the restaurant due to time but I would stop there again because it looked very professional, smelt great, and the menu had great items. Everyone from check in to the restaurant were so friendly, really makes a difference with your experience. I would 💯 stay again.

The parking lot had a little lake of water/ice. The amount of water/ice is not the hotels fault it was just that time of year. The size of the room was a little tight but understandable this building being older.

Very clean and quiet. Efficient check-in. The bed was super comfortable. Staff provided a bag of ice free of charge. The room had a refrigerator and small freezer.

The bathroom was very small and lacked towel bars and shelves. Toiletries had to be left outside the room because the sink ledge was too small to place any items. Initially the room was quite chilly. It took about 20 minutes to bring it to normal room temperature using the window unit air conditioner

Check-in was smooth. The room had a fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable. There was a mat to place wet shoes, or I would assume boots in the winter. Check-out was easy. Parking was right in front of our door. The place was quiet, with no loud neighbors.

Not really a complaint, but the room was smaller than some at other places. There was enough room to walk thru between the bed and the dresser, but not a huge amount of space. In the bathroom, the sink was a pedestal sink, so not a lot of counter space. There was a small glass shelf near the mirror, so there was some space. Again, it was a nice clean comfortable room, just a bit smaller than some.

Sheets, pillows, towels were excellent. I rarely heard anything going on in other rooms. The refrigerator was a delight--newer with real freezer space. Location was perfect for me...right in the middle between Terrace Beach and Rossport. I could spend a full day in all those places without driving far. I loved the Grotto at the Catholic Church...very beautiful and peaceful. Lucked out on the weather with cooler temps, lilacs still in bloom, insects just starting to bite.

Sorry, if you read my first review, wrong location. Me bad. However, I always stay at this hotel as well when passing through Schreiber, spacious room, clean, and great customer service. Right off the highway, convenient store right there. Enjoyed having the bar fridge with extra sink.

Great location in beautiful Schreiber, Ontario - right along Hwy 17. Room is small for the 2 queen beds in there, However, the property is neat, tidy and welcoming. New windows, doors, curtains, paint. Beds were new and very comfy. And most important is the place was CLEAN!!

The only thing was the shower head was missing. It was just a pipe coming out of the wall with no shower head. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be like that but i'm guessing not. Wasn't a big deal for us as we were in and out of there for 1 night.
