It's a nice place with a very friendly person in the office at check-in and in the morning. The room was attractive and the bed was comfortable. The Wifi was strong and fast. There's a full-size (!) refrigerator and freezer, and there's a supermarket just down the road.

A few irritations: The bathroom has no exhaust fan or even scented spray, so I had to deal with odors (luckily it wasn't winter -- when I wouldn't want to open the outdoor window). There's no bar for hanging clothes, only a few hooks in the place where a bar could go and a few hooks by the door. The breakfast is cookies... nothing nutritious (with protein) to keep me going while I drive... luckily, there's a Subway restaurant that's easy to walk to which opens at 6:00 a.m. on weekdays at 8:00 a.m. on weekends.

We added to our stay since there was a snow storm so didn't want to drive in that. Unfortunately couldn't stay in our original room as it was booked already for that night ( it was a room with 3 beds and there are only 2 of those so couldn't have the same room) we instead got 2 other rooms. The owners are awesome! Loved the decor. Nice deep tubs. Have a small fridge instead of just a mini fridge which was great for us. The queen size room had a kitchenette in it. Ray made sure to be available to help at any given time. Always asking if he could help with our bags or to carry anything. Lyne was so nice and speaks French which is al bonus for us. My son slipped on the snow outside our van and Ray made sure to come put more sand down right away.

Nothing I would change!

The Property was clean. Beds were very comfy. Great Staff. Easy Check In. Was Quiet. Not much for TV but being in such a remote area of Northern Ontario was to be expected. They Offer coffee and cookies in the lobby in the morning. close to restaurants but they close early. Most before 6 pm.

No coffee machine in the room. Tim’s Hortons nearby. There are only stairs to access the upper level rooms. I have difficulty with stairs. I should have booked a room on the first level. I will remember for future visit.

We liked everything. We were warmly greeted. Everything both exterior and inside were clean and well maintained. Looked like rooms were recently upgraded. Furniture was beautiful solid wood Amish built. Comfortable beds and very quiet. Perfect stopover after a long day driving.

There's nothing I didn't like but will just mention there's no breakfast, but fresh coffee and home made cookies are available in the office at 6:00 am.

Honestly nothing I would change!

There was coffee available. We went out for breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. We were given a room at the back which was quieter. The motel was full and we were near the stairs. There were a lot of young people up and down the stairs but they quieted down in reasonable time at night.

I always prefer when single use containers are not provided for soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The owner Ray was very friendly and helpful, he checked us in and greeted us in the morning when we checked out with hot coffee(delicious) and yummy chocolate chip cookies! I had an issue with my daughters car and Ray came out and offered his help along with another guest who was staying there as well! We fixed the problem with their help! Thank you again Ray! Excellent experience at the Outdoorsman Hotel! 👍

This was the cleanest hotel/ motel we have ever stayed in. We travel extensively and average about 40 hotels in a year. Our hosts Lynn and Ray were awesome. Each room has a BBQ available to use. As well as folding chairs to sit outside. If EVER we should find ourselves in the area again,we would definitely stay again.

Absolutely nothing could be better. 5star.

Friendly staff, very clean room, comfortable bed and pillows. Really liked the full sized fridge with freezer to re chill/freeze our supplies. Also had a gas bbq with bbq utensils that we used. Really enjoyed the hand hewn furniture to replicate log cabin ambiance. Lighting in bed/sitting room was very dim but had nice bright light in bathroom.

Very outdoorsy decor..love the log beds and table/chairs. Comfortable bed and full size fridge/freezer. BBQ's with everything to cook a meal. Exceptionally clean, the best place I have stayed on my cross country road trip. Would definitely recommend. Big room and very safe!

Wish there had been a full breakfast but no big deal!
