I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the hotel prioritized sustainability, which was a huge plus for us. The commitment to eco-friendly practices is evident in every aspect, from the complimentary snacks and reusable bottles provided in the room to the overall operations. Our room was clean every day, and the thoughtful touches really made our stay special. The staff were consistently helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. A particular highlight was the daily breakfast pack, which was not only delicious but also perfect for our early morning tours.

This is truly an oasis. An absolute joy to come back from all the tours and explorations. The pool area is very relaxing. The breakfast was tasty. We also enjoyed the restaurant menu and ate there many times. The hotel located at the main parking lot (the end point for most group tours) and at the beginning of the Main Street at San Pedro which makes it really convenient.

We liked everything. There are only two things to note: 1. The houses at the back (we stayed in number 12) are close to a school. It can be loud until the school is over around 15.00. 2. The hotel has no gym therefore bring your own yoga mat if you’d like to stretch after the tours. We bought one from the shops nearby, the hotel had none to borrow.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. Starting from the location - it’s the best possible!!! Why? Because it is in the Main Street of the city (Caracoles Street), but it is in the end of the street, so you don’t have a lot of people walking around the hotel and don’t hear any noises. Also, all the tour companies leave the tourists exactly in front of the hotel after every touristic tour. The staff?? Amazing people, always with smiles on their faces and always ready to help you with whatever you need! Well, don’t even get me started on the room!!! It is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND COZY, nice internal space in both the room and bathroom, everything is functional… you have your own control of the room temperature though the heaters and fireplace (a gas one, very nice) and it might seem normal, but many hotels there don’t allow the guests to turn the heat on. The bed is giant and reaaaaaally comfortable, like the pillows as well! I cant find any flaw in the room, honestly. The breakfast was also great! They give you a menu and you choose what you want, how many times you want them, and it is a fast and effective service. Also, if you go out on a tour really early in the morning, you just have to let them know that you want a “breakfast box” and at what time you leave and they make it to you, all included in the hotel. Well, my stay there was absolutely perfect and all I have to do is congratulate all the team there!

Exceptional service from the staff - they couldn't do enough for us! The rooms are absolutely beautiful and clean, as is the pool and restaurant area. The hotel really gives off luxury vibes. The location was perfect.

There was nothing we didn't like - but a few very minor areas of improvement for the future: the bathroom window in our room was oddly exposed, so we are pretty sure people walking past could see in! A frosted window would solve this. Also, while we appreciated how clean the room was, we think cleaning two times a day was a bit excessive! Perhaps staff could ask guests if they would like this or if just once a day was enough.

This place is like an oasis in busy, bustling, and dusty San Pedro. I pretty much liked everything about this hotel: staff, service, food/drinks, and the location. (It's located in the prime meeting spot if you are planning any guided group tours.) The room was quite authentic and very lovely, with small details, and it felt like I was back to rest after the tours and activities in San Pedro/Atacama. I only stayed for 1 night since I spent the rest of my Atacama stays in Explora, but I was so glad that I stayed at Desertica on my first day in Atacama to experience the local vibe of San Pedro.

I liked everything about the hotel, but the airport transfer to the hotel was a bit hectic. I inquired about it through Desertica, but the car transfer company (Pampa Transfer) at the airport is not quite helpful if you don't speak Spanish at all. It would be great if a private transfer is also offered.

- the food (great choice at breakfast as well as lunch and evening menu, I recommend the hake sandwich and chicken pil-pil. - all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially on reception who helped us speak to the airline when our flight was changed. - the rooms as tastefully decorated and spacious as - the hotel is very clean - the location is great for the local attractions - the pool area is lovely and relaxing

It felt that we arrived in a safaripark in Africa, each our own little hut. Room had everything we needed. Swimming pool is really nice although it was a little too cold when we were there. Lots of interesting little details around the hotel. Dinner and lunch at the restaurant were very nice although at night there was not much atmosphere. Most guests went into town we found out.

It was sometimes very hard to communicate with the person behind the desk. My Spanish is not super good but he didn't speak any English. There were several confusing situations. Take away lunch for the day was not great. The price is ridiculous high compared to all the other hotels in the area, not sure if I would pay it again.

The hotel was well located, very beautifully decorated, with the motives of the city. The staff was beyond friendly. Breakfast was delicious, and a la carte. You can order whatever you want, in the quatity you want. Since it is a small hotel, there is no point for a buffet. If you have to leave the hotel before breakfast, they make you a pack so lovely prepared! And tea whenever you want too. The service was the high point of the hotel for me. The room, bed and shower was comfortable.

Not really downsides, but maybe a little more options for lunch and dinner would be nice. The closet in the room was too small to accomodate both mine and my husband's items.

This is a beautiful property in a fantastic location right on the main stretch of town. It’s at the far end though and you feel quietly tucked away which allows for quiet rest and relaxation. The rooms are really nice, clean and spacious and the bed was big and comfortable. I was worried when I saw the property didn’t have AC but the rooms stay cool and there is a nice big fan to create a breeze (and doubles as a great white noise machine). The breakfast was great with lots of options and the other meal we ordered for dinner one night was also really good. Great drinks at the bar and the staff is really kind and helpful.

Artistic decor; comfy beds and big rooms; quiet location close to town center in walking distance; wonderful staff !!! A lady staff at the restaurant on Dec 18th found a stack of US $ that my husband accidentally dropped on the ground. She bought the money back to our room. We much appreciated such honesty, and wish to let the hotel manager know this. They kept our luggage while we took tours after we checked out. They gave us local tour info promptly and we are happy with its suggestions.
