Even though the building itself does not look that great, I found the room inside very comfortable and beautiful.. it was very spacious and bright, located at 21th flor so it had a view on all the city, for a night sharming scenario. Also the bed huge and comfortable. The lady who spoke a bit english was there to answer to my questions and she gave me a room with washing machine to wash my clothes because I asked her. She was kind. The hotel is close to Kunming train station (only 10-15 yen to get there) so I find it easy for me to move around. There is a 7up just down the building and many shops around. Also it was not expensive to sleep there. There is a huge schermo to watch TV.

They dont provide breakfast (as many places in China. Due to the fact that it is an hotel they should have breakfast service). Also, the guys who stay at reception should learn a bit of english to be able to work and communicate in a place where people coming from all over the world go. I bet there are english speaking people who are willing to work in those places. This problem is very diffuse in China where foreigners have problems to communicate in the stations, hotels, airports and with the taxi drivers. Finally, there are no airconditionairs hot/cold in the rooms.

Location nearby to metro station and Kunming train station. Also easy accessible to nearby Nanxing pedestrian street where you can various local Yunnan foods.

Smelly toilet on first night stay, and front desk staff wrongly arranged my 2nd booked rooms unit. No clarification and threaten me to cancel booking at last minute knowing we can't get any availability at that hours.

The owner's daughters English is perfect. She was extremely helpful in recommending local food and instructing me to use metros and train and banks . Juni is the best.

Comfortable bed, big TV schermo, good position, nice stuff (even though they dont speak english), beautiful view. I recommend this place.

The should clean more under the surfaces.. they should include breakfast.

I asked for a room at the 24th flor (the last one) and they said no without explanation.

Very convenient location. Only 2 mins away from the Tangzixiang subway station. Many food outlets downstairs. Clean, big and comfortable room. Helpful staff at the reception area.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and the hotel room is really a good place to rest well before travelling.

I often stay in Da Zhen on my trips to Kunming. The rooms are spacy and comfy, the staff is very friendly and the booking process and payment have always gone smoothly. The location is very convenient, too. All that for sensible prices. It's a great option for anyone travelling on a limited budget.
