The staff were so helpful, from messaging us before we arrived, to talking to our taxi driver to give directions. They were very friendly and all of them spoke at least basic English. The location is also superb, within easy walking distance of the beach/pier and Zhongshan Road, and surrounded by lots of places to eat. Comfortable, clean and warm rooms.

There are lots of stairs and no lift. It's OK for fit & healthy travellers only.

Angela on reception was amazing, she gave us so much advice, answered any question we had, ordered us things we needed (included a weird request for a HDMI cable one evening which we did not expect to be able to get at all!). She went above and beyond for us, she bought us snacks to try just because she wanted to share them with us. Thank you so much Angela !

Everything was very good! Nice facilities, nice staff, nice cafe, & nice atmosphere! Check in was very easy, it didn't took too much time. There was no lift to the private rooms on the 4th floor but thank the boy who took my luggage. It's cool that I did my laundry there as well though I had to pay 10yuan to wash & have to pay via Alipay. But thanks to Xiao Zhou from the frontdesk for helping me with this! Thank you~! Cafe was nice, I got free water to drink)) Then there are sofa for you to sit on the 2nd & 3rd floors. So it's very nice! The Catholic Cathedral is within walking distance of 10 min walk. Then different small shack restaurants are up the hill in the south. To walk to the pier, it's 30 min.

Everything was great except for my room. It wasn't very clean because there are dead flies on the walls. Occasionally you also can get mosquitoes in your room as well. But I had repellent so it wasn't a problem with that. Bathroom for my private room was a bit tight of a space.

Really great location in the old town of Qingdao. The staff were so lovely and had a good level of English so could give us recommendations and answer any questions we had. They gave us a map recommending restaurants offering local food as well as places to get drinks. We only stayed three nights and wish we’d stayed longer. We stayed in a private room so can’t speak for the dorms but the room was lovely and definitely didn’t feel like other private rooms we’ve stayed at in hostels

Cozy, comfortable bed with clean sheets, great & varied lightings in the room with a contemporary newspaper feature wall. Very helpful, warm and professional staff. Fantastic ambience & vibes in their accompanying "Jinn" western restaurant. Great beef souffle pizza & avocado yoghurt blend! So pleased with our first night stay that we decided to come back to 'home ground' after 2 planned visits to other further venues/ province.

No tissue box in the room.

Location 10. English speaking staff 10. Near to the metro as well. No lift, but you can ask help from them in case you are carrying heavy luggage..

Not sure if the toiletries are properly labelled in the shower. Or whether are other's personal toiletries. The room is too warm since the heater is on. I mean how can you sleep if it is too warm.

The staff was very welcoming. They also speak English (which is really nice). The entry and hallway are amazing. The room was spacious and clean. The bed is a little hard - but for me that was great. The hostel is located in walking distance the the catholic church and the old quater. Also the pier of Qingdao is walkable. All in all a very friendly place with great value for money.

Very cozy former German style house. Staff is lovely and design including common area and restaurant is very welcoming. Hostel guests get a discount at the restaurant. Good pizza

The rooms are up to the 4th floor without any elevator. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties (elderly etc.) or large/heavy luggage.

The dormitory is value money. The mattress was good. The shower room was rusty but okay. Air conditioning was good. The location was very good. Easy walk to popular tourist spot. Easy walk from the metro.

But the dormitory is always tiring with noise from others.

The location in walking distance of the station within the old town. The property matches the character and atmosphere of the old town. Very friendly English speaking staff at the hotel and in the restaurant.

It’s a hostel - so you get a washroom “module” with shower and no actual cupboard.
