The property is beautiful and maintained well. The staff are well trained and personable. The hotel offers free activities each day: yoga, tai chi class, fireworks show, cultural activities, etc. The restaurant’s food is delicious and good quality. The hotel gym is small but adequate.

The rooms do not face the main road but are next to the main road and one can hear all the cars / buses / trucks zooming by or honking their horns. It is quite disturbing given the serenity of the property. The villa style rooms are further from the road but I imagine one can still hear the road.

We loved the aesthetics of the hotel. It is very beautiful. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. Very good location to nearby activities. Lovely bar, however the bar and restaurant were pricey which is to be expected.

The swimming pool is not heated so we couldn't use it. It would be good if they had hot tubs or something that people could use in the colder months.

Beautiful architecture and very helpful staff

Construction beside the restaurant of the hotel was noisy. Maybe need to limit construction outside eating hours to not disrupt the ambiance.

Obviously, it's the architecture and the interface between the old and the new, which is extended to the interiors. The surrounding landscape is amazing. Finally the pool is really cool with an amazing view!

The main issue is the noise from the proximity to the main road. Although it quietens off a little at night time it is still fairly obvious. Other than that, there is little to fault with the property!

Its amazing and probably one of the most beautiful hotels i have ever seen.

The food offer is not good for foreigners. We ordered a sandwich for room service which includes fries and they said th fries were over but two minutes later in the bar by the pool everyone having fries… Food needs to improve is the only complaint.

Very nice location, nice architecture, relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool great. Nice to try the rock climbing with great instructor.

Introduction to hotel and services upon arrival could have been better. Restaurant was closed for some event, didn’t know on beforehand.

Beautiful restoration of a sugar factory, rich history and impressive art installation/ exhibition

Fantastic renovation of the sugar mill in an extremely stylish fashion. The modern addition by vector architects is also very striking and complimentary to the old structures. The adjacent mountains are utterly majestic and the Saturday night private firework show sealed the deal and reinforced my feeling that this is one of the most stunning hotel retreats I have ever visited. Would love to return.

Beautiful place, lots of people coming just to take photos

Staff was very nice and friendly, but to be honest they didn’t seem to be properly trained like the staff of a real 5-star hotel. We went to the Shangri-la the day before and I could see the difference. For example the way they reply to your messages is not super professional. Then on the day we arrived they kept us waiting a long time at the reception and at the end they forgot to give the keys, which is the only purpose of checking in. And then we were tired so we wanted to nap but some staff came and kept ringing the bell until we opened. I mean yes it was nice to bring us snacks but it was not worth it to wake us up for that. The breakfast was good but not amazing.
