Me and my boyfriend took a short trip to Zhangjiajie whilst he was visiting me in beijing from the UK. We had the most amazing trip thanks to all the staff at the homeward mountain resort, they honestly made our trip unforgettable. Every detail was included from their delicious homemade chinese food, to organising transport and excursions for us. They have a lovely bar with a nice amount of options, this included spirts, beer, soft drinks and cocktails (We both especially loved the “first love” cocktail). Not only was the service incredible but the location and hotel views were breathtaking!! We were a 5 minute drive away from the hotel to the west entrance of the Avatar mountains (national forest park) We also had a view of the mountains from the pool which was amazing!! We were around an hour away from Tianmen mountain which was not an issue as the hotel arranged transport for us there and back. The room was lovely and clean with a lovely bath and balcony overlooking the pool and forest. We had a traditional chinese breakfast in the morning with lovely Italian coffee. I would recommend anyone visiting Zhangjiajie to stay at the homeward mountain resort. The price is absolutely amazing for the location, hotel and service you receive.

The hosts really stood out and were super helpful in creating daily itineraries with us and giving us recommendations. We always had the feeling that we were very well cared for, also while we were exploring the park, as they were always reachable via WeChat and responded swiftly. They made us feel very welcome and even included us in a family birthday party on the premises. We sang karaoke together by the pool and had the best time. Not to forget, the sunlit mountain view from the pool or during dinner were amazing. Thank you so much for hosting us!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Homeward Resort, and while the hotel itself was lovely in every way—from the comfortable rooms to the beautiful surroundings—what truly made our stay exceptional was the incredible service we received from Younkie at the reception. Younkie went above and beyond in helping us plan our trip around Zhangjiajie. Her knowledge of the area, combined with her genuine desire to assist, made all the difference in our experience. She meticulously helped us organize our itinerary, ensuring we didn't miss any of the must-see spots. Not only did she provide excellent recommendations, but she also took care of all our transport arrangements, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Thanks to Younkie, our stay at the hotel was absolutely perfect. Her efficiency, attention to detail, and warm personality made us feel truly cared for. We can't thank her enough for making our trip so memorable. If you're planning to visit Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying at the Homeward Mountain Resort and make sure to ask for Younkie at the reception! She'll ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect.

Staff were great. Wen was very helpful and arranged everything for us during our 3 night stay. He spoke English very well and gave great advice on our trip around the mountains. Sunny was also very helpful. Free shuttle to/from park entrance. Great breakfast, and evening meal in their restaurant. Amazing views, upgrade our room due to renovation noise and no water in the pool despite booking swim up room.

No tea/coffee in room. Extra charge for tea or coffee outside of breakfast time. Renovations taking place but we weren't aware of them prior to booking. Some things advertised as room facilities weren't available eg. Bath robes, tea/coffee etc.

Great Location, right next to the west entrance of the park, the hotel provides free transfer to and from the entrance to the park which was perfect, you need only to message them on WeChat when you are leaving the park and they will be outside waiting for you. Special mention to Yeo, who helped us plan our days in the park to maximise sight seeing. He even helped rescue us after we missed the last cable car back to the park entrance! The other staff are super friendly although they do not speak much English, but this was ok. The hotel has a beautiful pool although we did not use it as we were travelling in early April and it was still a bit cold.

The only negative I can think of is that the rooms were very cold, the air conditioning only blows out cold air, not heat. There is a wood fire on the terrace of each room but we had no wood to burn. They do have electric heated mattresses though so this helped when sleeping. Restaurant food was good but not much variety.

The staff were extremely helpful and kind. We reached at night and they provided clear instructions via the app on how to advise the taxi to reach the place, and waited outside for us to help with luggage. They brought us to the town area for dinner and also to a convenience store to get drinks and snacks. They were also very generous with giving tips on itinerary and helped us plan out a route with lesser queues. The hotel was located very near the mountain forest attraction. Breakfast provided was really delicious and we ordered dinner from them as well. The staff were friendly and we felt really well taken care of. I'll definitely be back again!

Nothing! As we visited in winter, the room was cold but there is a heater provided in the room. The bed was heated as well. We definitely want to come back again to enjoy the activities in summer.

Thank you so much for an amazing stay, amazing resor , amazing service and most of all they made us ( me and my wife ) feel like we are very important and special to them. It was like paradise , all the greeting and smiling faces was so relaxing and giving us a hint about what we will find through our stay. Amazing beuatiful lady ( Luna ) was really sweet and helpful and was smiling all the time. The hotel looked much better than on the pictures , it was so beautiful , and nicely decorated and the outside shower was simply amazing, the breakfast was so delicious and they have a variety of food to satisfy all tastes!

Everything about the hotel and the staff was amazing! The hotel is beautiful with great rooms and a really nice pool to cool off in after spending the mornings and afternoon in the park. The staff was so hospitable, they made all the difference to make sure our stay was comfortable and even helped us plan out each day by creating an itinerary for us. The hotel location is also incredible, super close to the Zhangjiajie National forest park entrance. The hotel offers free shuttle to get to park entrance. A great breakfast included in the rate every morning as well. It was all fantastic!

Great location, very close to the park entrance. Facilities are OK. Food average. Staff super friendly and willing to help 24/7. Really helpful and kind.

Food selection is an issue. It would be good to have international/western selection

The location is just a few minutes away from the West entrance of the National.Park and there is free transfer to.amd from it. The place is very quiet and the staff is Very helpful , also English speaking. Younkie helped us a lot with arranging everything we needed, she even drew us a map with detailed instructions for our visits.
