Faranda is located in a safe area of Barranquilla. There are many good dining options within a short walk of the hotel. The room that we stayed in was spacious, had a walk in rain shower with plenty of hot water. The balcony was a very nice place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and people watch. The facilities were all consistent with those found in the nicest hotels in the United States. The restaurant is located on the 10th floor and affords the guests a sweeping view of Barranquilla. The breakfast buffet had fresh fruits, made to order eggs, omelets, waffles, a variety of Colombian dishes such as rice, meats and even soups. The swimming pool is also located on the 10 floor with great views of the city. The pool was always clean and well maintained. The hotel has two elevators that fast and efficient. Air conditioning worked well throughout the property as did the high speed internet. The best part of the 19 night stay was the excellent service provided by the hotel staff.

All the staff was amazing, the hotel decor was phenomenal very up to date. The location is good close to many places. They are always cleaning in this hotel it is VERY clean. They even were touching up the light poles when I was there. Bed was super comfortable the shower was hot. The front desk staff from Shirley the front desk manager super sweet love her,the front desk girls gensis,aileen,and there was one more super sweet girls. Restaurant staff: wilmer he makes the best drinks,Carlos the cook fixes my breakfast so sweet,Nay is my go to person love her,yulio super sweet always has a smile on her face.felix my little butterfly I always called him smiley he was sweet too.

The breakfast needs to be hot, the eggs are always wet and runny, you don't get alot of meat or sausage and if you do that is cold too. The best thing is always the fruit. Oh also there is no blower dryer in the room,nor is there anywhere to place your shampoo bottle in the shower The pool is always really cold and it's on the rooftop so the breeze is cold so I never cold get in the water.maybe they should see if they could raise the temperature water.

Facilities outside the room were fine. Great breakfast on days 1-3, mediocre, limited, and truly disappointing on days 4-5

We reserved and paid for a king room but we’re assigned a double (totally changed the mood of our trip). Since two weeks before and at the property, Hotel would not correct saying there were no king rooms available, but they were still advertising availability—king room next to us was available- was it because we had prepaid? Double rooms were inferior (no robes and amenities, etc) The room was not adequately prepared. We had to request towels, toiletries, tissues, even having room cleaned. There were no drawers or place for our clothes. Safe and closet were in the dark as light did not reach. The lighting on the sink and mirror was horrible giving a green tint to the face. Impossible for make up. We avoided being in the room as much as possible.

Very friendly staff and nice small hotel. All clean and nice rooms. Breakfast is very good and lovely prepared. The only disadvantage here is, that at the start of breakfast at 6 many things not ready on the buffet and best only after 7 am as then all is there. Pizzeria from hotel is very delicious, but also expensive.

Key card from room from cleaning personal removed. When the socket from working table is connected to the key card main switch, not make many sense to block the charging when not in room. Suggestion: minibar with fair prices should also have standard soft drinks like coke.

The hotel was an amazing oasis of quality and high tech facilities in the middle of a luxurious neighbourhood, which has buildings last renovated decades ago. This is the best are of the city and the area around the hotel is very safe ... unlike the rest of the city. The staff was very helpful and pleasant and both restaurants in the building provided very good food. Welcome drinks, coffee and biscuits in the welcome area are a very pleasant touch.

The hotel could improve the breakfast offering by providing more salty bread options and drinking water for free, instead of charging for it. The Italian restaurant was a bit overpriced, considering the quality of the food was good, but not freshly made and definitely not worth twice the prices you would pay for the same dishes in Italy.

The location is great! Especially if you want to be away from all the huddle and bustle. It is still conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. The beds were great! Our room had pillow-top and looked brand new. Loved the multiple pillows. Breakfast was amazing! Loved the display and freshness of the fruit.

Looks like the rooms were recently renovated however, our ceiling still had the concrete and wood still exposed. Not sure if that was the look they were going for. A/C wasn’t working but didn’t realize it until half way through the night. Door knob for the bathroom needs to be fixed. It was loose which caused it get fought on the jam. Got stuck in the bathroom until I could wiggle enough to get it unstuck. Would be nice to have some one help with the luggage or at least a cart to help get all the luggage to your room.

I booked a 3 night stay to unwind after a 3 week motorcycle tour of the Caribbean coast. It was amazing luxury in every way. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It just has the nicest ’vibe’. The hotel is very quiet, the beds and linens are fantastic. The hotel and rooms are spotless, the neighborhood is quiet, safe and beautiful for walking. Breakfast was different every morning and always a big variety. Don’t miss trying their restaurant, also out of this world.

There is nothing, everything was wonderful.

The design and decoration of the hotel is impeccable. We felt as if we were in Paris or some place like that. Each detail is amazing from the roof top restaurant, the roof top pool, the check in area, and especially our room with private balcony all look like pictures in a magazine. I asked for a romantic detail for the room for my wife and me and they delivered a spectacular scene of roses, rose petals everywhere, a bottle of delicious wine in ice, and chocolate covered strawberries. It was like a movie. The attention and service were 10 stars, and everyone was so kind and helpful. We have never had service this good before. The employee are the best!!! The food is AMAZING!! We ate lunch, dinner, and breakfast at the roof top restaurant and the drinks were made perfectly, the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The bartenders are number 1!

Not one single thing.

My family and I loved the hotel. it has a small boutique feel which was great and the staff was really nice and helpful. The front desk lady Shirley was awesome. She helped us find somewhere safe to change our dollars to pesos at a great rate and we did not even have to leave the hotel for that. We did it in the lobby with a company that sent a rep straight to the hotel. That was great because we felt safe.

The breakfast items could have been better. We stayed for 3 days and there wasn't any real variety. We were expecting a more authentic Colombian breakfast experience. The menu prices are a bit high compared to everything in Barranquilla. We had lunch when we arrived (2 adults and 2 kids) with 2 cocktail drinks and the bill was $70 US. Which to me was very high, even for the states. The pool restriction for only 8 people at a time seemed a bit odd but we still enjoyed it.

the property was located at one of the oldest most traditional towns of Barranquilla. As a native I enjoyed taking a walk to close by convenience shops and short cab ride to delicious bakeries and restaurants. The restaurant at the property “Pink dolphin” had yummy food as well for when we didn’t feel like going out. The breakfast included was also nice since I have young kids and starting our day with options beyond the basic breakfast was very welcomed. A variety of fruits, made to order eggs, Colombian hot chocolate and baked goods were my kids favorite. At the time of our stay the pool was under maintenance so we were given a voucher and transportation to use the Hotel El Prado pool (1 block away) which was in fact a treat because this hotel is a historic site and beautifully kept. The front staff girls Shirley and (*) were super friendly and helpful.
