Breakfast was buffet style and is very good. Fruit, juice, corn flakes, eggs, rice & beans everyday. Choice of coffee, tea, bread for toast. You can go back as well. I had 2 serving of cereal, then eggs, rice, toast and tea. Many sit there and relax drinking coffee or tea. They don't rush you out the door. The Nutibara Hotel is across the street from Botoro Plaza and museum. Great location. Plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars, outdoor food stalls, banks, etc. within an easy walk. For 13,000 COP the airport shuttle drops you off right behind the Nutibara Hotel. The bed was very comfortable. A real mattress, not a block of foam. Staff don't speak English but with Google translate, you can get your point across. I will stay at the Nutibara Hotel when I return to Medellin.

The hotel really needs to hire a few bilingual staff members. Not everyone speaks Spanish. A hotel this size should have at least one staff member on duty with some English skills during peak times.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Not just because the hotel itself but because of its location. The hotel was wonderful. The rooms were big. The bed and furniture comfortable. The hot water super hot. The hotel was surrounded by restaurants and bars on the first level along with an ATM. And the staff did everything they could to make sure you were taken care of. But I really loved the location. It is right down town in a "local" location where you can get all the food you want and go to any markets you may need. It is also directly across the street from the metro and a five dollar taxi ride from just about anywhere in Medellin that you would need to go. I am definitely only staying here whenever I come to Medellin.

Nothing.

I liked everything about Nutibara Hotel. Walk across the street to Botero Plaza for museums, restaurants, fruit, shopping, etc. The Metro station is a 5 minute walk, same with changing money, The Nutibara is walking distance to everything you want or need, including the shuttle to/from the airport, 13,000 COP. BF was decent: eggs, fruit, rice/beans, cereal, toast, coffee, tea, juice. I went back for seconds on cereal, toast, tea, no problem. My bed was very comfortable, room safe for securing your valuables, daily maid service. I will stay with them when I return to Medellin.

The only problem was noise from the Metro going by at night. I am a light sleeper so it was a minor quibble. Next time I will ask for a room as far away from the Metro as possible.

Location is precise but the ambience around were not so easy Room were big, kingsize bed very spacey room good tv cool air condition, bathroom and little small, not adequate for 2 person to shower together, i am an person who loves to shower with huge water stream cold/hot in balance breakfast amazingly service

To be Honest, this Hotel is an Monumental ( historical ) Hotel, need some little investment to be Shiney and Top of the Line and try to keep some of the homeless an little distance from this Hotel location

The hotel was clean, staff was very helpful and everything worked properly.

The zone where the hotel is located became one of the worst ones to be in Medellin. If you are not careful you can be robbed. The hotel looks like it was a premium hotel but frozen in time, like 80's style. But it was comfortable, clean and everything was working properly. It is recommended to leave and get to the hotel by taxi or uber, especially in the night. There is a subway station pretty close but it can even be dangerous to get there. The hotel itself is a 10/10 by my criteria but if safety is important for you or cannot afford Uber for every ride you should consider another option.

The location is good, but it is downtown so it is chaotic and probably not very safe at night. The room was tidy, spacious and nice. Ask for one in the last floors and not facing the main street. Breakfast was Ok.

Nothing to make a remark on.

When Jude Law's character visited the Grand Budapest Hotel in 1968, he described it as being "by that time, decidedly out of-fashion; and it had already begun its descent into shabbiness and eventual demolition." The describes this hotel perfectly. When it was built in the early 1940s by Paul Williams, the architect behind the Beverly Hills Hotel and numerous celebrity homes, it was the jewel of the city. The salons, part of the lobby, and public spaces have now been transformed into a food court, call center, and dollar store, but thanks to the numerous historical photos throughout the building you can mentally reconstruct what it used to look like. The service is impeccable, as if nobody has bothered to inform the staff that the hotel had fallen onto hard times. It's worth the stay just to explore the building's nooks, crannies, and architectural details. While exploring, take a trip to the 10th floor and take in the view from the balcony off the elevator lobby - it's where the city's Wikipedia photo was taken.

During the day, it's one of the most interesting neighborhoods in Medellin, but it becomes seedy at night - take an Uber or taxi if you go out after dark.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and always liked it. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Rooms are big and clean compared to others in Medellin or Bogota I have stayed recently and before. Good location in the heart of the Centro.

The noise and congestion in the Centro is a plus and minus. Many inexpensive stores in the El Hueco area but very crowded.

I loved that the airport shuttle dropped us right behind the hotel. 13 000 COP per person btw and direct from the airport. The room was lovely, breakfast was great and the bed was top notch. Exceptional view.

The noise, we where on one of the highest floors and where still bothered by the noise. Location was smack dab in the middle of el centro so going outwalking around in that area at night was not a good idea . We changed to El Calandria area after 2 nights and it was much safer for us. This is a beautiful old hotel thou!
