The hotel is perfectly located in the center and within walking distance to the main plaza, museums, gorgeous churches and delightful restaurants. The hotel's monastery history with its unparallel architecture inside and outside are outstanding. The food was delicious. The staff was outstanding and attentive. I will definitely plan to visit again and stay at Hotel Dann Monasterio ;)

The best location in Popayan. The hotel has a uniqe and incredible athmosphere. We loved it. The staff atvthe reception was very helpful and nice!

The staff of the restaurant was really slowly. We couldn't drink anything 2 times: 1st we had to cancel our order because we didn't get it after 30 minutes, 2nd we couldn't order after 20 minutes.

There was a large and loud 15th birthday party on our second night that closed the restaurant. We had been warned and the hotel offered (and we accepted) to be moved to a room as far from the party as possible on our second night. Whilst we still heard the music it helped a lot! The breakfast after the party was all as it should be with all signs of the huge party cleared away by 7am.

Great location, very spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Beautiful old monastery and nice terrace for breakfast which was good as well. Friendly staff.

No hot water at 6am just later . The restaurant except breakfast was rather poor and must be improved. The sauce of the ceviche wasn't handmade nor the sauce béarnaise. The meat wasn't high quality.

Breakfast, All staff were friendly and ready to try to solve all of our request, bad the breakfast system doesn't work well and you need a lot of time to get your food. All of your breakfast comes one by one. It took almost 35 minutes to get our eggs request. It's not the staff by themselves. The organized system doesn't work well

The stay was a very pleasant and wonderful experience. The large facility is well maintained. Breakfast was grand with many choices. Staff was very professional and caring. Our room had a balcony. There was a large closet. Great hot water in the shower. Secure parking was outdoors within the hotel compound.

The carpet in the room was unexpected. The room was a bit musty smelling but old buildings do have their stories.

Great location, staff excellent, room overlooking the courtyard reommended , breakfast was complete and the restaurant had calming and relaxing music , surprisingly good birdwatching in the garden and pool area

Need to think about new furniture in the reception area

The building is magnificent, truly evocative of the colonial history of Popayan, both in the architecture, and the use of period furniture in the rooms. Given previous reviews, we requested a quiet room and were given one towards the back of the building. However, during busier periods, given the building layout, it may be that few rooms are really quiet.

The breakfast was minimal, almost a little stale, and the service poor. I would have liked to have seen some information on the history of the monastery.

Very centrally located, good choice for breakfast including fruits, bread, mixed eggs/ham/onion. comfortable and spacious room. Quiet overnight despite central location, live music at night for wedding reception but stopped early and was actually nice to listen to. Good, fast wifi. Hot showers.

Didn’t use the pool due to the weather, but didn’t really look like you’d be able to lounge around it, as there is minimal seating space.
