Tico House is an incredible place to rest after a long trip. Starting with the excellent attention in the reception by Andrés, the main host. The house is super spacious, it has everything you need in the kitchen. The parking lot is large, and on the outside, they have beautiful terraces with views of the garden and a beautiful pool where you can cool off. It does get a little hot but there are fans that cool the room and the possibility of getting extra fans for free. The complementary breakfast was fantastic to have a little coffee before starting our trip to La Pavona. During the arrival, they gave us all the information on schedules, tours, and 100% top recommendations. We will certainly come back and recommend this absolutly amazing place.

Louis is a very warm host. Very personable and welcoming. Starting a new booking. Very clean house. Beautiful landscaping, secure ( behind locked gate) and secure covered parking. Big shower with lot of room. 25 min drive to Tortoguero Boat launch, not many other options in this area. Good communication from owner. This is essentially a family home renting bedrooms. It has a common living/TV room and kitchen.

No A/C in room, we had 2 floor fans. Less a bed and breakfast, more like a hostel-make your own breakfast in a nice community kitchen (Maxi-Pali .3miles away). No wash cloths or hand towels. No furniture in room, needs nightstand by bed, suitcase rack so suitcases are not on the floor. Hot water in shower was intermittent. WiFi was intermittent, worked if reset. No table or shelf in bathroom to set toiletries when using them. Pictures showed nightstand and chairs in the room. We only had one plastic lawn chair with pillows.

The host was super nice and very helpful! He got up with us at 4 am to drive us to the bus station! This is something I have never experienced before! Also the kitchen is amazing and very well equipped! Also, they had all the stuff for a sandwich and oatmeal ready for us to prepare! We had a great rest at the bed& and breakfast after a very long day of traveling. The room and bed were very comfy and quite!

It is a lovely well equipped property with secure off street parking, plenty of space and use of kitchen facilities. The staff were really welcoming and friendly.

The air con in the room wasn’t working, but the staff had installed a fan so we managed to stay reasonably cool during the night. We needed to drive to the town for dinner, mainly due to the lack of pavements (as advised by the staff) rather than the distance.

Nice accomodation in a calm area. Bathroom and a big kitchen are shared with other guests. The host lives in another house in the same property and is extremely helpful with all the local tips, especially with planning a trip to Tortuguero national park.

Although it is quite close to the town, it is not very comfortable to walk there so if you want to go to the dinner or to a shop you need to go by car

Had an amazing stay here! Luis and his mom are super kind & were extremely helpful with helping us figure out our plans for getting to Tortuguero the next morning. We felt very welcomed and the place was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Parking is very safe as well. We had dinner at a delicious spot nearby at the suggestion of Luis. Great location to stay at if you're looking to catch the boat the next day to Tortuegro and need a pleasant location to rest!

Luis and his mom Vilma were very hospitable. They were kind and informative. Their online posting was as advertised. The room was perfect for the price. Vilma even gave us an upgrade due to my father in law being a giant at 6foot5inches tall.

The shower head wasn't working for hot showers. But the water wasn't cold that I couldn't shower so no worries.

Luis is the host you dream of without knowing it. He is super nice and accommodating with every need you may have. He waited for us awake until 1am to greet us in person when we arrived. He made the kitchen at our disposal with fruits and some basic stuff (drinkable water and coffee). In the morning he even went out at 5am to buy fresh bread and pastries for us to have breakfast. On top of this, he also prepared (only for us) a delicious warm breakfast with eggs and cheese. He is super kind and knows perfectly how a good host should be. The room was spacious, tidy and clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept quite well. The house with common spaces is very big. There’s also a little pool outside and a nice patio we haven’t had the chance to try though. It also provides private parking in the property. We enjoyed a lot talking to him in the morning. :) hope to see each other soon in Berlin Luis! 🔜

Coming from Tortuguero I wanted to spend one night and stayed one night longer, because I liked this place so much! The house is beautiful, new, spacious and comfortable with everything you need and also has a great kitchen to prepare meals. Luis hospitality was amazing. He helps you with everything, we had some very nice conversations and he really loves what he is doing. So if you are around - stay here!

Absolutely nothing!

Nice host, friendly and helpful. Safe and private parking. Easy to find. Large room with well equipped kitchen. Fantastic price-value.

Doors are not well insulated, and seems one apartment door is not well adjusted. So we were in the middle of a very noisy "couple trying to open and close the door fight" at 5am. Sleep was over... Need to drive to the city to get dinner, not recommend to walk.
