The location next to Zamek Hluboka is fantastic, the vibe is awesome and the facilities amazing. Breakfast on the terrace was also lovely and staff were really professional and very helpful. An absolutely awesome place to stay when you visit Hluboka! You won't regret it.

As we arrived during the heatwave (close to 40C) and were accommodated on the 3rd floor, we would have appreciated air-conditioning (or at least a fan in the room). Also, there was smell of a dog in the room which in the hot air wasn't pleasant. On the other hand, the room on the 1st floor we stayed in for the rest of the stay was fantastic, beautifully appointed, roomy, like in a fairytale.

Really impressive interior with the best location to the castle. The provided leisure facilities are well maintained and the staff is professional and nice. All in all we enjoyed our stay to the max.

It would have been nice if after booking we have received some notification regarding the massages busy schedule because after arrival not all the members of our friend group managed to get an appointment. The sheets on the bed are better to be renewed, even though they were clean there were some black dots and small holes that didn’t effect our mood at all but it would be nice if they were not there. But still it didn’t ruin us the experience :)

With the indoor bowling, golf simulator, pool and jacuzzi, the Hotel Stekl is a fun place to stay.

While the food at dinner was excellent, the service was well-meaning but amateur -- serving the wine after we'd nearly finished our meal, despite repeated requests to bring the bottle, or looking pointedly at her watch when we asked about dessert options, even though it wasn't late at all, maybe 9:30 pm. As for breakfast, the buffet looks great, but all the hot food was cold, even a platter of fried eggs straight from the kitchen. And it was impossible to get a hot cup of coffee.

If you want to stay at a real castle, stop looking - this is the spot :-) We had such an amazing stay, the place looks like you're in a fairytale. The view from our room was so picturesque and the location could not be better to visit Hluboka castle. There's a free parking alongside the hotel and breakfast was also amazing and freshly prepped. The cool thing about staying at Hotel Stekl was that we got to experience Hluboka castle during busy tourist hours and also when everyone left - it's really unique to being able to do that. Hotel itself is 10 mins away from the city centre with nice restaurants and brewery. The only downside is that it's quite uphill but because people need exercise I won't count this as a downside - more like: get some exercise it won't kill you :-) There's also quite a few wellness activities that you can do (because of COVID we opted out of those).

The restaurant closes quite early (I believe 10pm) so we could't have a nice sit down in the evening since the kitchen was closed and the waitress "really" wanted to go home (would you blame her)

The hotel is incredible! From the outside You have a feeling like You are staying in a real castle. From the inside they created lovely space to relax and enjoy the moment. Rooms are spacious and we had amazing view for the area. The lobby bar is outstanding with cracking fire and comfy sofas. The restaurant was nice, the food and wine was excellent. Breakfast was delicouse and varied. The staff was very proffesional and warm. I was travelling with a rather large dog and nothing was a problem - what a suprise!

I loved that the staff arranged a beautiful heart shaped rose arrangement on our bed for our anniversary night, that was the cherry on the top of the cake for our fairy-tale like stay in this beautiful place, a great djakuyi for them!

The facilities are great, but it comes as a surprise that the sauna is in a private area that needs to be booked for a rather hefty fee (you do get access to the whirlpool and swimming pool though). Too bad there were little to no vegan and gluten free options for the otherwise succulent breakfast (and nothing at all for us for dinner) - that's perhaps the only downside to our stay. If they get that in order (at least some oats milk for breakfast), they would be flawless in my book (we brought ours with us, together with a few slices of GF bread, so it wasn't a big deal anyway).

It was really lovely staying here. This hotel is in a wonderful location right next to the castle. It feels like staying in a Stately Home. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Our room was huge with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice although a bit lacking in vegan options but there was enough. The pool/spa area is small but very pleasant. There is an option to book a private spa/sauna area which is really lovely for relaxing and they provide sparkling wine and fruit too. It's actually very good value for money for such a luxury. There is paid parking in the garage under the hotel or you can park on the side of the road leading up to the hotel but I think a permit is needed for this.

The only negative was the wifi. It just didn't work in our room properly at all. The reception staff did try to sort it out but unfortunately weren't able to. Unfortunately the 4g signal isn't great either. But not a deal-breaker and wouldn't put us off staying here again.

Great location near by the castle. Large room with comfortable beds. By good weather the possibility to have breakfast and dinner in the patio. Public parking possible, Hotel issues permit for street parking. Wifi was working reliably, Affordable price in pre-season.

The choice on the menu in the restaurant was rather limited. Breakfast was average with some low quality products such as the sausage and ham. The direction to the hotel should be better indicated. TV limited to local channels.

Location absolutely stunning - less than a minute walk to the castle, friendly and welcoming staff, amazing breakfast, surprisingly large room, pet friendly (even though zero amenities, at least we paid only one dog fee while having two tiny hairless dogs).

parking - we expected a garage or at least a courtyard parking, but it was parking alongside the road leading to the property maintenance - the building is old (obviously) but with the right maintenance it could be simply awesome (the plaster was falling off the walls in certain places and toilet not flushing properly) - but not complaining because the price for such a hotel is more than adequate.
