We spend one night at the Skaga Hotel in preparation for taking the ferry to Kristiansand the next day. The hotel is well suited for ferry travel and the reception staffs were excellent. We were travelling with a pug dog, and they placed us in a suitable room that was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The pool and the sauna was available and very good for use. The restaurant provided a variety of local dishes that were both affordable and delicious. The breakfast was included and contained a good selection of hot and cold items. We had a very relaxed and comfortable experience with Skaga and the staff were great, friendly and provided excellent support.

The room we stayed in was huge with separate seating area, overall the hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Extremely close to the train station and close to the ferry terminal while still in walking distance to town. We did enjoy our stay and the breakfast was probably the best we had on our entire trip which covered 4 countries. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Hirtshals for me is only a location to travel through rather than stay but this is no reflection on the hotel.

Room: extraordinary! Design, facilities, comfort for work and sleep. Quiet. Terrtory around. Possibility to smoke pipe with Danish tobacco. Monuments. Pure contact with nature. Fresh air - all found as perfect or a little better than perfect :) Breakfast: its a dream! Location: it is in Denmark, i.e everything quite near, accessible and logistic - top. All the people around - even in midnight willl show you the way... Less than one km - railway station. It is Denmark :)

Everything was OK. No elements failed by personnel on every floor...

The room was very spacious and comfortable, good assortment of breakfast options, and the location was perfect for travelling with the ferry to or from Norway!

Considering you need the door entry pass to turn on the electricity in the room, I thought it would have been handy to hand out two for the pair of us. As when my partner left the room he had to be let back in (making it so I couldn't pop into the shower during that time) or I had to sit in the dark while he was out.

Second time staying here. It's a nice hotel, with big room, comfortable bed, water boiler in room. A bar and restaurant. Close to the port and 24/h reception, so ideal for traveler. Bit pricy but you can find a deal.

Unfortunately the restaurant has some strange hours, i inquired before arriving about the closure time, i was arriving late and the answer was it was open until 21:30... at 20:30 the kitchen was closed.

Chosen for our onward ferry journey next day, plenty of onsite parking, friendly staff and ground floor accommodation which was very comfortable. Access to a large outside seting area and central to local facilities. Good restaurant with good choice from the meu and excellent views over the town and sea. Good choice of food at breakfast.

The location was great as we were catching the ferry to Iceland the next morning. Very nice hotel, a clean, comfortable room and friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful. Plenty of free onsite parking. Would def recommend for ferry travellers.

Very Friendly Staff. Large Comfortable Room. Very Convenient for the Ferry. We were able park the car in the hotel's car park for 4 days at a very reasonable rate while we were in Norway. All the staff we interacted with had excellent English skills.

A wonderful little hotel, attentive and responsive staff, and a great location. Excellent breakfast included.

Loud music from a different hotel bar across the street. Upon request the desk agent moved me to a room on the opposite side of the building and it was fine.

The size of the rooms. The restaurant was good. They had a specific room for your bike with equipment for maintenance.

The breakfast should have more variety of fruits and cakes. I miss more information about the other facilities (the pool and the sauna)
