This is beautiful hotel located in the UNESCO protected zone. There was a vintage tile stove in my room. It was quite clean with a comfortable bed and good linens. Five minute walk to bus stop and two grocery stores nearby.

The check in person at the desk made it seem like I was inconveniencing her by checking in. I needed to leave shortly before the 8am breakfast time because I had to catch a bus. When I had messaged the hotel about this in advance, the person said I could get a sandwich from the breakfast area before leaving. The hotel didn't have any record of my request, though when down there in the morning the woman setting up breakfast was helpful and accommodating. It was loud in the room at night, but the hotel provides earplugs.

This was a lovely old building and very clean/comfortable.

Unfortunately when we arrived the building was locked and no information was available. We called the tel. no and were disappointed to be told the hotel was closed and the phone was put down on us! Eventually we managed to get the assistance we required and the hotel was opened and we were provided with a room. Fault seem to lie with all parties, Booking were not clear in the hotel description that there was nobody present after a certain time, we should have read the e mail sent to us, hotel could have called to ask when we would have arrived considering they accepted the booking very late in the evening we were to stay and payment had been taken!

A classical hotel with impressive history. The location is dead centre of the town. Very charming. Balcony and garden space. My room was in an annex adjacent to the main building. A modern and comfortable room though traditional style. It had a water boiler, coffee and tea available. The breakfast was generous.

The bed was unfortunately soft and had a leaning to one side. Must have been damaged earlier. I have let the staff know so expect it to be fixed.

Breakfast was excellent - good selection, pleasant staff and nice ambience. The hotel's location, right in the centre of the town, can't be bettered. Staff were at all time professional, efficient and pleasant. The restaurant serves amazing Danish food.

Our only disappointment has nothing to do with the hotel itself. There is a group of youngsters who ride their motorbikes continually through the town every evening, until around 10pm - they are very, very noisy, and seem to ride with impunity. They upset the tranquility of the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the suite I stayed in was very comfortable. I had dinner there both nights and the food was amazing. But most importantly the staff were fantastic, really helpful, friendly and obviously proud of the hotel. In particular I would like to thank Cynthia who really went out of her way to help me both at Check in and Check out

Nothing - loved it, loved it, loved it

Excellent location in this pretty, UNESCO protected town. Character building with high ceilings and wooden floors, spacious rooms. Comfortable bed. Sockets close to bed. Free parking on the town square just outside the entrance. Lift. Dog-friendly, though maybe not in breakfast room, depending on who you ask.

Bathroom could do with an update. No safe in room. Breakfast not very exciting, with coffee in a thermos. Hospitality tray limited to 2 cups of coffee only, no tea, no decaff, no biscuits.

Very old hotel (1773) situated in a UNESCO protected town, but with modern facilities. Very friendly service from all the staff, in particular the ladies in the restaurant. Restaurant: food was excellent. Pleanty of free parking available.

Room 1 is next to the elevator, so not the best choice. Breakfast is OK, but for me the egg portions, the fruit portions, ... isn't a good idea.

What a place and a perfect night's stay near our finish of the Danish Baltic Sea Route. So enjoyable to have everything perfect for a good night. Had one of the most delicious dinners in the hotel we've had in years. Totally 10+.

Things were outstanding!

Excellent breakfast, good quality food and variety, from delicious musli and yoghurt to different eggs dishes, a good selection of fruits and bread, jam, and gelly of various types, nice coffe and tee. Good size room and bathroom,

The most friendly staff I've ever met!! The hotel itself was just perfect, in the middle of a beautiful historical town. The room and bathroom were very spacious and had everything I needed. I've stayed in a few different hotels that same week, and this was the first one where I could get some amazing sleep. The beds were fenomenal!
