The female receptionist, Shrouk/Sunrise, was very friendly and efficient in checking us in and helpful throughout our stay. The male receptionists seemed like bored college kids who lounged on the sofa and asked somewhat intrusive questions (Where are you going? When are you coming back?). Breakfast quality was better than I had expected, usually consists of two beverages of your choice, fried eggs, bread with a variety of spreads, fresh fruit, and fresh veggies or a cooked dish. The room was very clean and includes a/c, a mini-fridge, but no hair dryer. Bathroom is a bit small, but sufficient.

Being in a central location, there is quite a bit of street noise (especially honking) that can be heard. Also, my room was right off the lobby, and sometimes people in the lobby can be quite loud until late into the evening. The hotel is in a building that must have been quite elegant at one point, but has fallen into disrepair. Staircase is a bit dirty and there is no working elevator.

Great location. We initially had doubts as whether to book in downtown or near the pyramids with views to them but we made the right choice as Giza is pretty far from downtown and here there is plenty of things to do , to shop and to eat in the evening. It's 3/4 min walk from the nearest Metro station and the Museum and also within this commercial area with shops etc.. the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom although small but with her great hot water and shampoo. Towels provided too. The stuff here , every of them, are amazing and very helpful and it's definitely one of the best things. The breakfast is plentiful. Our room wasn't facing the main Street and was relatively quiet although the views weren't the best but we were all day on the go so not an issue to us.

The photos doesn't reflect with exactitude the Reality. The room was not as nice as they looked in the profile photos . It was more of a tight box room without terrace, no beautiful yellow cover and beautiful side table lamps but again mattress pillows and shower were comfortable so we adjust to it and enjoyed it.

1) Location. It is located near Tahrir Square, so most places of interest are nearby. However you might have some difficulties finding it. There would be no super-clear sign, you have to look at the signboard on top of building entrances. You may find place called "Felfela" easily (Btw it's a nice street food), hotel is on the left to it. In daytime there might be a shop on the first floor so watch out. Hotel is located on 3rd Egyptian floor (nearly same height as 5 EU) with no elevator. 2) Staff. Guys here are really nice. They are friendly, polite, their English level is good, so there should be no miscommunication. 3) Room. Room might not be that big in terms of square meter but height is about 4m so it looks quite big. Here would be almost everything you need: TV, fridge, aircon, shower, toilet, hair dryer. We were here in January 2022, it was a cold winter but aircon was saving us, cuz it can heat a room up to 26 degrees. We also found a warm blanket in the closet. 4) Service. Wi-Fi is good for surfing the web or chatting, but not good enough to have a Zoom meeting. 5) Food. Generally nice. Neither good, nor bad. You can always get coffee, omelet, some kind of bread, jam and butter. I will define it as a minimal breakfast and it is fine. Sometimes we got strawberries, banana and falafels. Wish we could have them constantly)

3) Room. Room was okay, but it had paint drops on the floor and the walls were shabby. Sadly it had no safe, but I was warned about that while booking the room. Most of the linen were disappointing. While towels had some dirty black spots on it, even after we asked to change the ones we got. Bedsheet had small hairs on it. The blanket we found was not clean as well, it had some dirty spots on it and was stinking a bit. 4) Service. Cleaning — they just took out the trash, re-layed the bed and took one of our dirty towels and putted it on the bed nice and neat, like it was a new one. 5) Food. Because of food variety instability you can't rely on it. You either get a "full" meal or you just get coffee, omelet and bread and won't fulfill your stamina.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is really close to Tahrir Square with the Egyptian Museum, Sadat underground station as well as the Nile and Cairo Tower, all within walking distance. Staff were all exceptionally helpful, flexible, understanding, educated and so kind-hearted, namely Shorouk, Basma, Fadi, Marwan, Magdi and Ziyad, the first three of whom have done an outstanding job, being the best of the best. Room was large and comfortable (it had a fridge and a balcony), the shower curtain in the bathroom was nice and clean.

The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The appliances were up to date and modern, and so was the bathroom. The internet signal was strong and reliable as well, which was a big plus for me. Also, there is always someone at the desk who is willing to help with whatever your needs may be. For the price, it cant be beat compared to the higher end hotels in town.

I was skeptical at first, because the downtown area of Cairo is old; but dont let the outside street appearance fool you. Once inside, you'll feel totally at home. Overall, for the price, I will definitely stay again.

I had an incredible week at this remarkable hotel. Its proximity to downtown means you can easily explore nearby tourist attractions like the Cairo Museum, the Nile, and Zamalek without needing a taxi. Plus, there’s a wide variety of shops, cafes, banks, and restaurants nearby, all at affordable prices. The staff went above and beyond, always ready to assist with any requests. I’d like to express my gratitude to Fady, Marawan, Basma, Abanob, Mona, Aya, Farida, Ahmed, and Taghred—they’re exceptionally friendly and helpful. Fady, the manager, creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Without a doubt, I’ll be returning to this hotel.

All went well for me.

The staff were incredibly hospitable and accommodating, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. They helped us with our luggage, made a hot breakfast everyday, and provided all of the information we required for our trip. They organized trips for us from within the hotel, and ensured we were dropped off to our doorstep. They also helped us when we needed to go into the town for a job, and personally escorted us so we weren’t alone at any time. There was hot tea and coffee made for us whenever we needed, and any queries were sorted immediately with a smile. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a home away from home. Hamada, Fady, and Ashraf are some of the many staff that made us feel at home.

Everything was perfect :)

Originally booked a room for 3 nights, ended up coming back here to base ourselves between our different travels within Egypt !! The rooms are spacious and comfortable in the MIDDLE of huge and busy Cairo and therefore in an ideal location to do everything by foot in this huge and crazy city ! Furthermore, thanks to the regency inn team and particularly to Ahmed, we were provided incredible help and a friendly support no matter where we were in Egypt. Ahmed basically helped us organize our whole trip (one month) according to our different requests and stayed in touch with us during the whole time: helping us book tailored tours throughout the country at amazing rates, simply providing help or advice about what to see or do according to our location or simply telling us what not to miss in his beloved country without getting ripped off ! To sum up we felt like being welcomed in Egypt by a friend not interested in our money but rather helping us enjoy in the best ways possible according to our budget.

Nothing, best value for the price and I dare to say better location than most of the much much more expensive 5* hotels
