All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, nice breakfast available from 0600 to help with a few early starts. Overall, nice hotel in a good location - about 20-30 minute mainly downhill walk into the centre of Torshavn - obviously then uphill on the way back, but not too bad and parking fairly easy to find in the town if needed (looked like a local bus stop nearby as well but didn't use it) - 5 minutes walk from the football stadium if that's your thing, plenty of free parking at the hotel. Supermarket just down the end of the road. A good base for exploring the Faroe Islands, would stay here again
Hotel restaurant and bar menu for evening meals were a bit limited and a little pricey in my opinion, but not really a big problem as close to the centre anyway where there are obviously other options

The breakfast was delicious and had a great choice of options, including gluten-free choices. The restaurant for dinner was fabulous with a delicious choice of meals. Loved trying some of the local cuisine. The staff were lovely and very helpful loved the gift shop with the choice of lovely local crafts. Staff were very helpful in calling us cabs and giving us advice where to find particular places interested in visiting.
The only thing we would complain about is that there was only one washing machine and one dryer as it meant you had to wait several hours to do your washing behind other guests in the queue.

I loved how large and spacious the room was. The hotel was exactly as advertised in their photos. My room had a lovely view and I was extremely impressed with the Smeg refrigerator and kettle. It definitely added another level of luxury to my stay. The bathroom was also really clean and aesthetically pleasing. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was also lovely — if you are there early enough, you can get some avocados. On my first day, I went for breakfast at 9am and they didn’t have any. But the next day I went at 8am, and there was a glorious bowl of halved avocados, seasoned with lemon juice and black pepper, which I though was an extremely thoughtful touch. You can imagine that I woke early from then onwards for the breakfast, just for the avocados! I also had dinner at the hotel. I had langoustines for my appetiser and a lamb shank for my main. Unfortunately the langoustines were either not fresh or prepared the wrong way — all the meat was mushy like a super ripe banana, and I had trouble using a fork to pick the flesh out. As a langoustine lover myself, the dish was sorely disappointing. The sauce was incredible though. On the other hand, the lamb shank was absolutely delicious, and they come with a serving of roast potstoes too. I also had some mocktails. I loved every drink I had. The bar tender was also really nice as to make my drink more tangy when I said I preferred my drinks to be less sweet. I would definitely go for the drinks again any day.
Asides from the langoustines, there really isn’t much I have to complain about the hotel nor its staff. It would always be great if the prices were a bit lower. But given the fact that quality is ensured, I’d say it’s worth staying in the hotel.

Nice view from room, comfortable bed.
Half board option is not recommended. The breakfast is good (not excellent, but good), the problem is the dinner: if you are on half board you can not eat what you want (no buffet option), but what the chef is willing to cook that day. They even could not tell at the breakfast time what will be the dinner, so if you return from a long hiking day, it will be surprise, and not necessarily a good one. There is a menu as an alternative with few choices, but if you would like to avoid fish or lamb, you may have to pay (on the top of the half board). Regarding the rooms: the conception of the shower and the restroom are very unfortunate. A real wellness (sauna+spa even with massage option) would be excellent after a long and windy hiking day.

Good location, very friendly staff. Nice restaurant for the dinner. Our compliments to chef: food was delicious !
1. Breakfast is very poor, there is no choice. And no tasty 🍵 cafe. 2. Cleaning service is awful: we stayed 4 nights at the hotel. During this period the floors, barhroom have never been cleaned. cleaner came just changed the towels and made the bed. 3. we paid about 500$ for the room with no view and when i didn’t find in the room robe i was surprised to know that the robe is a available only!!! for rent 15 DKK :-))) to pay 500$ for the night is not enough .

This hotel is excellent. Reception was friendly and efficient. We had a room on the top floor with a view to the sea. We enjoyed the happy hour with a glass of wine free for Hilton Club members. The evening meals available in the bar area were reasonably priced and excellent. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choice. The rooms were comfortable although I prefer a walled bathroom, rather than glass door shower and toilet cubicles with the hand basin in the main entry. There was no privacy or sound insulation. Stupid design really.
The hotel is difficult to find. There are absolutely no signs. Considering 90% of guests probably drive into Torshavn from the airport, wouldn’t it be smart to install signage to help guests find the hotel. The hotel design is also bizarre with reception around the back from the road. The hotel is located in a commercial area, well out of the centre of Torshavn, a good 25 minutes walk away downhill. Btw, I’m from Australia, not HongKong as shown by Booking.com

Nice hotel, on the edge of Torshavn. The hotel is perfectly situated to start your day to one of the nearby islands. City center is 5 minutes by car. Very good breakfast. Nice bar. Nice rooms.
The temperature in the room is too hot. The entire hotel was heated to 22,8°C, with no option to lower the temperature in the room (only options is to put the window open while heating keeps working). In our room, the shower had a bad odour from the drainage.

The staff were very helpful. Ok shower…….Bed quite comfy and good pillows. Fridge was good. Excellent lamb shank meal on first night. Good choice at breakfast…….although coffee could have been better quality. Little shop okay.
Lack of reading lights………the side lights were useless. Larger shower and loo would help.. The mirror was on the wrong side of the hanging space as you stared at your clothes in the room. Style over substance! Impossible to fully close the curtains without light coming in. Either provide blackout blinds or eye masks. No coffee bags in room which we have had in every room since!…….and insufficient milk. Provide REAL coffee and a cafetière or a coffee machine. Not even provided with a shower cap!!

Location is fine as it is just off a main road, but it is a little way from the town centre although right next to the wonderful football stadium. The room was lovely and clean and there was plenty of choice for breakfast with everything stocked and fresh. The staff were brilliant. Every one of them, particularly the two lovely receptionists who were on duty the days of the 2nd Evior concert. Lovely people.
The price :-D

Incredibly loving, courteous and attentive staff which leaves nothing to be desired. At this point I would like to particularly emphasize the staff of the restaurant and the bar, who really do everything to ensure that the stay is unforgettable. The food in the Hallartun restaurant is just as Champions League level as the drinks offered at the bar. Really great. The room was very spacious with all the amenities you could imagine (Fridge, hair-dryer and even an iron with an ironing board). The city center can be easily reached from the hotel.
It is understandable that the hotel or the restaurant also attracts many locals who want to enjoy the wonderfully delicious dishes. But on some days, as a hotel guest, especially looking back at the breakfast, you had the feeling that "local guests", who were already there at 6am or 7am, enjoyed the buffet more than hotel guests, who perhaps slept an hour or two longer and then tend to get less. Please don't get me wrong: The team always tried very hard to fill everything up quickly, but in some unfortunate situations it was the case that as a hotel guest who slept late, you had to wait a little longer for one thing or the other.
