We were welcomed by Raj, who made sure our stay was extra comfortable. We were traveling with a dog and he immediately showed us pictures of his dogs which made it feel like we met with friends. The interior is eclectic but done in a tasteful way. The dinner room is a true eyecatcher. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast and dinner delicious.

The led lights in the room do not add to a cozy bedroom.

The air ventilation system in the room (not a/c) could have been a bit stronger - it was a bit warm! And please, can you provide more information about the history of this historical evacuation centre?!

Location was convenient. Staff was friendly. Room was sufficient. Common dining area was beautiful.

Cigarette smoke was very strong on the 2nd floor. Not sure of the source. Room was exceptionally small, which we knew when reserving. But as the hotel seemed quite empty, a surprise upgrade would’ve made a nice stay, a great stay. But that’s not a negative.

Bed to my taste too soft. Very hot room (but so was the weather).

The sauna: suitably hot and moist löyly, unlike in most hotel saunas. This to-gether with the beautiful colour and soft feel of sauna benches together with indirect illumination - made a perfect bathing experience. Breakfast room and breakfast - must try it yourself. Hand made true Karelian pies were a treat! Beds - great. The staff really did everything to make our stay enjoyable and safe, despite current pandemia circumstances. Hygiene, distancing, mask - all done right!

The room was an the small side, yet it met our needs. Booking.com customer service never responded to our message regarding our query regarding incorrect price stated at the order confirmation. This was rectified by hotel reception staff, however - so no harm done in the end.
