We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed it. Beautiful location and views in all directions. Really friendly and helpful reception staff Really appreciated the strong blackout curtains in midsummer! Good breakfast spread. Drinks were coffee, tea, juice. Hot buffet options were porridge + egg + bacon + frankfurter sausages. Cold spread included hams, cheese, veg + fruit. Surprisingly high quality lunch and dinner restaurant food in my opinion, and seems fairly good value for Finland. Great swimming pool Great value paddle board rental at 5 euros / hour Free ice-creams at reception were a lovely touch! Good base for visiting Savonlinna 23km away. Expected more from the daily room clean which sometimes seemed careless / lazy The Booking.com photos were misleading on the gym - which wasn't there - but apparently there will be an operational gym by the end of summer 2023

The location was absolutely amazing . It’s located at the edge of the lake with gorgeous views on every side. Note that the rooms view might get partially blocked due to spa area roof. The staff was polite and helpful. The food was delicious although we found the breakfast spread to be limited in choice. They even have free use bicycles for riding around the trail routes around the hotel

The Air con did not seem to cool the rooms especially in summer it tends to get hot and humid inside the rooms. Limited breakfast spread.

The hotel has improved compared to pre-Covid time. A lot of renovation work has been done. The room we stayed in last time, has been completely renovated (including bathroom). At the reception we were told that the hotel has now a variety of different room types, so next time we will try out something different. Hotel SPA has a lovely view to the beach and onto the pier. Sauna and relax areas have been refreshed. We were told that in the summer you can rent a boat or try out SUP board on the lake, so we'll definitely come back when it's warmer.

This is not the first time we come to this hotel, but this time after renovation. Our Superior room was completely renovated with a new bathroom and toilet. We do not know if all the rooms are renovated in the same manner. Very comfortable beds and great view of the lake. We also noted the new Reception and a new terrace overlooking the beach with a pier. We could not use the terrace and a separate house with a sauna, because we came in winter. Excellent SPA, with a large pool and panoramic windows to the lake. Delicious breakfasts. We arrived at 3am and received a pin code to our room and managed to check in under 5 minutes. We will definitely come again, but this time in the summer.

The nature around was amazing and in a very peaceful environment. The staff was very friendly. The food in the restaurant was rather good.

The place was quite dirty. There was a trash bin right outside the side door that was overflowing, the carpets inside looked dirty and the bathrooms had black dots all over the shower. The whole place looked quite run-down and definitely not worth the hefty price tag

Location is best just beside saima Lake, around hotel there have so many berries and mushrooms. It is very quite and beautiful place to living. Even Hotel is very old but swimming pool and sauna was great and enough for my family. Breakfast was great and enjoyed.

Hotel is quite old, room not so big and little bitter dirty. But compared price I can accept some small flaw.

The location is perfect to explore the Saimaa region. Many spots between an hour's drive. The chef went an extra mile to get us vegetarian dinner on the day we arrived. The staff was also very helpful. Pool and sauna was also good

The rooms are a bit old and the doors need some work atleast. Nothing else to complain

Excellent location and super nice staff who upgraded our room (free of charge and without asking!) The family room is very spacious and in the bathroom there are toiletries available.

It's a bit old and it requires renovation (actually when we went the pool was closed due to maintenance). The breakfast doesn't offer much choice but it's quite ok.

There are picturesque places for walking around, but we came to ski, as there are forest trails and ski tracks around the hotel. Nature is gorgeous, forest, lake and clean air. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and varied. The spa center features an indoor pool, saunas and relaxation areas. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is big but works perfectly like clockwork.

The location was so good with a forest and lake around. There are paths you can walk in the forest with very nice small bridges. From almost every room you can see the lake.

Breakfast could be more varied. If you come too late some food you can miss.
