They had 2 breakfast formulas: breakfastbuffet (self service) or coffee with croissant. We opted for the latter.

The access to the private parking was rather tricky. The road down to the parking was very steep and then you had to take a 90° turn to access the parking. The front bottom shield of our car (a Opel Zafira) scraped the drive-way at both times we parked there. The following 3 nights we parked at a more accessible, but public, place. People with SUV's or cars with larger wheels would have no problems parking there.

The room was lovely and big and we had a big terrace too with deck chairs as well as a table and chairs to eat outside. The bathroom and room were very clean and comfy

It was incredibly warm the week we were there and only 2 of the rooms have airconditioning (the ones facing the road) the rooms like ours with a terrace have no airco which made sleeping quite difficult at night unless all the windows were open which then led to waking up very early because of the light.

The hotel was in a very nice small town, away from the busy coast. However there are a few nice restaurants and bistros to get food and drinks. The hotel itself has a nice quiet pool and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had an amazing bath and big counter + sink, with soft towels. The full breakfast had a decent selection of bread, fruits and cereal, along with coffee and juice. The staff was helpful and very courteous.

The mini fridge did not get very cold.

Breakfast on the terrace was splendid. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well managed and welcoming.

The restaurant is closed which is not a problem as there are lots of restaurants 200 metres away in the town but up a steep hill. Indeed everything in Foret en Bagnols is up or down a hill including the car park

Au Relais is a simple hotel within walking distance of the centre of Bagnol. The rooms are perfectly comfortable. Staff are not on call 24 hours but that is not a problem as service was efficient. The clincher is the sublime view from the terrace and the beautifully appointed swimming pool. It really is an added bonus.

For the price, there is nothing to complain about. Superb value for money. It's just a shame that the restaurant is no longer open as we were told by friends that it was once the best in the village.

Gorgeous place up in the hills with excellent scenic views. Room was clean and comfortable. Hostess was lovely and helpful. Swimming pool was very inviting. Great breakfast. Many local restaurants close by. Would go back. Recommended.

Breakfast was good served on a terrace with a nice view. The owner of the hotel was very pleasant lady who could not have been more hospitable. The room was clean and spacious and I enjoyed the room's terrace. The swimming pool was good.

Nothing that I can think of . There was a steep hill in order to get to the restaurants in the town square which people with mobility problems might find a bit difficult !

Sylvie is a lovely woman, she received us with a smile and a nice welcome even though we were very late on arrival. She always behaved pleasantly, explained the recommended places to hike and we really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for the great hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend the place

not really a designated parking spot, but across the hotel there's a vacant lot to park.

A lovely place in the mountains, set in a beautiful village and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Always a great pleasure to stay here.
