This was our third stay. Everything that we wanted; quiet, calm although we decided to go close to the end of the season when I feel that the island must be very busy. Expensive but exclusive - apologies if that sounds snobbish - and I think that is also a huge draw for some. Main residents and visitors are Italian and French. The staff are amazing and I really want to highlight those who took particular care of us - Joe from Sardinia, Victor from Monpelier, Luca from Rome and the lovely lovely Barbera our wonderful house keeper. They made everything so much better - if that were possible. This place is our idea of paradise.

What's not to like? The flights from UK are a bit of a hassle.

It's an old hotel located in one of the most beautiful spots in the world. The team is not well trained. Feels like they hired some locals without any experience in managing guests. They are lovely but just don't know what to do.

location

not very well organized, seems a lot of new staff and not very experienced. inexistent email management, they did not answer me via email (several) saying there were too many guests arriving (???). could not even get basic answers for transfer airport to parking and parking to island. if I didn’t know the place because I’ve been several times, and spoke all the languages, French, Italian, English… I would have had problems.

Hotel is located on a secluded island with a number of nice beaches. The staff is very nice. Breakfast was good.

Lack of entertainment (e.g., no beach activities on the island), VERY old furniture/rooms (our toilet was broken and had to be fixed during our stay), SUPER high prices for everything (e.g., dinner) - nothing is complimentary. The island has been neglected for a couple of years (e.g., unfinished house builds), which makes for a rather cold and unwelcoming atmosphere on the island

The location is the most amazing and easy to get from airport to hotel via ferry. Reception and housekeeping staff are good and hardworking. The island is beautiful with crystal clear waters. Supermarket at the port but with very limited opening times. Pizza restaurant next to supermarket.

We paid €650per night in July, high season (cheapest room). Very disappointed. This suppose to be a SLH hotel. The bedroom was above staff accommodations, it was not noisy but unsightly having to walk pass their hanging laundry everyday. The room was okay but the bathroom is an embarrassment. White caulking covering black mould surrounding the tub. The loo seat is too small for the loo. The bathtub surround is plastic type and made noise when whenever you touched it. The room also overlooked the kitchen (with its smells and noise). They haven't quite caught up with the rest of the hotel world (at these pricing) that water should be given daily for free and not charging €5 for half a bottle, being on a remote island. Food is limited: €20 for ice cream. €40 for tasteless sandwich at lunch. €40 for starter and €40 upwards in The main restaurant for dinner with unfortunate staff which were clearly overworked. This is a 2 star hotel at best. There is very little care for their guest and over worked & over stretched restaurant staff. (Just go to La Ferme to see how many staff they have per table. They are happy to work there).
