The hotel is very well positioned, with many places to eat and several parkings in very close proximity. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, and everything is made of wood, hence you feel a very nice specific smell everywhere.

The lady in the reception was probably quite busy and tired, as she shown no intention to offer any information or recommendation. The bathroom door was not closing very well and couldn't be locked.

The apartment was very well decorated and much more spacious than I expected. We had the ground floor apartment with rooms on two levels and with 2 balconies. Very practical and easy, with very tasteful antique furniture - I really enjoyed the feel and ambience of the place and slept beautifully here. We were able to hold a drinks reception for about 20 people, which was awesome. We took a sneak peak at the apartment above, when the cleaners arrived and that was another fantastic place with two rooms on the same level. Very special. The place was cozy and warm, with piping hot water and well equipped for cooking. Ideally located for the best Boulangerie in France, a great Boucherie and a Chocolatier to die for - a Valentines Day life-saver for me! It was about a 10 minute walk to Ski-set ski hire, who had a good system of being able to leave skis in the shop and shoes on the bot shelves.

The electric occasionally tripped out and the internet connection was a little slow. I would have preferred a toilet in the en-suite, rather than in the lounge (a little quirky...) - but this didn't really spoil the overall enjoyment for me.

This was an unexpected pleasure. I opted to pay slightly more for a view and ensuite bathroom, and am very happy that I did. The decor is rustically wonderful. The bathroom is maybe the best one I've had in France. The beds are comfortable and the staff are very kind. Thumbs up from me.

If you like hotels dripping with old-world charm, stay here. The room (and breakfast room) is paneled in wood, and full of strange carved objects and animals. Every time we entered our room, we were bathed in natural pine scent from the woodwork. Thu luggage "rack" in our room was a trunk bearing an inscription from the year 1799! Everything was comfortable, but simple. The breakfast was maybe one click too simple, but didn't detract from our stay. Our room was in a secondary (and very historic) building across the street from the hotel reception. We were planning to stay 4 nights but extended it to 5, because our large room (L1?) was comfortable, and the location, at the edge of the old town (but not the elevated Cite Vauban) was good. There is no end of outdoor activities here - hiking, biking, sightseeing, and presumably skiing in winter. Oh, and check out the Italian restaurant one block from the hotel; it's excellent, and always busy.

The room has no air conditioning, but opening the windows was problematic, because our room opened on a busy round-about. Fortunately, the weather was cool, so this wasn't a major problem.

If you take the studio apartment, it's perfect. Right in the middle of town, top floor so no noises from anyone next floor, very clean and comfortable, along with a little kitchenette. I slept really well. They even have free parking around the back. And best of all is the breakfast which, whilst small, was packed with delicious local products and home made delicacies.

I was only there for a night, but have to say that I didn't find anything negative. Loved the stay.

Comfortable well equipped mini apartment. I was cycling from Turin to Geneva. The manager was accommodating and fine to leave my road bike in the room. Plenty of facilities close by.

Not a big deal, but would be great if there were some coffee satchels etc. We made an early start before anything was open so the pre cup of coffee always nice.

Very comfortable bed and linen. Had all we needed. Great secure parking if in a nice car or motorbike doing the Route De Grand Alpes.

Room was a little hot for us overnight. Because in town we didn’t own windiw. We live in a very quiet location. I’m sure if you lived in town it would be no problem. Not a noisy street.

Simple but cosy, friendly staff although not speaking much english. Good food, both breakfast and dinner. We hade a room on the second floor with view over the city and mountains.

A bit hard to communicate sometimes but with a little french knowledge you get by fine.

Our room was very nice and clean. There was a good choice for breakfast - continental style. Dinner was also delicious with a lovely choice of local dishes. Raymond was extremely friendly and helpful with any requests which we had. We would definitely stay there again. No hesitation. There are also several bars and restaurants near to the hotel whic you can easily walk to. And a small supermarket.

Lovely old-style place to stay in the middle of the newer part of town. Plenty of local bars and restaurants.

Long uphill slog into the old walled town, especially in mid-summer.
