We were a bit disappointed to be actually staying at an annex, called l'Orangerie. The room was clean and furnished with some antique looking furniture. We could not eat at the restaurant, since it was already fully booked, but had a glass of wine in the lounge, which was absolutely beautifully restaurer and furnished. We also walked the grounds which had some very basic landscaping compared to former days.

We were disappointed about being lodged in the annex. Hence, it is not such a good value, because the property is close to a large industrial area with public housing. You are quite distant from downtown.

I was a guest for the celebrations following the wedding of a friend. The programme was: champagne reception - dinner - DJ disco. On Sunday morning a buffet brunch. Presentation and catering was all first class. The staff had very thoughtfully set up a fan, already switched on when I got to my room which, facing the sun, was uncomfortably hot - something that only airconditioning could alleviate and is not present, in this case. However, by midnight, the room had cooled down somewhat and I had a good night's sleep.

The only aspect of the facilities I can at all criticise is the slippery bath. In retrospect I should have used a towel on the bath to make it less of a problem getting out after a shower without risk of slipping.

The room that we stayed in was beautifully furnished and the en suite bathroom looked as if it were newly installed. nice and clean. It was a pleasure to stay in such a historic building. Roses growing around the windows too ! The owners are kind, helpful and considerate. They also spoke good english - which is helpful as I only have a tiny bit of French.

There is nothing that I did not like, I don't know why it is necessary to complete the section entitled what did you not like. I liked the place and I liked the owners - that's about it.

The Chateau provided everything we could wish for: the room was quiet: the breakfasts simple but tasty: the restaurant, where we ate twice was excellent in all aspects ( particularly service/ambience): the whole atmosphere of the Chateau and its location and the friendliness of the staff made us wish we could have stayed longer

There was one exception to the above and this was the poor quality of the internet signal. Logging on in the first place had to be done with the help of staff and the signal did not reach our room. This is certainly a matter that could be improved.

Very grand property set in calm leafy grounds, a short walk from Cambrai town centre. Very friendly staff, very accommodating. good breakfast served in a light and airy breakfast room with views of the gardens and lawns.

The standard rooms in the Orangerie are a little tired and dated and could do with modernisation. However, they are clean, comfortable, have god facilities and good value for money. The approach to the property is surrounded by multiple high rise housing blocks and an industrial estate which is a little off putting, but, nice there, the grounds themselves are secluded and quiet.

The room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is adequate and basically standard French. This is a old chateau with character. We would still stay there again as a one night stopover as hotels do have ups and downs and overall it is a lovely hotel in a quiet out of town location.

This time we did not enjoy our restaurant meal, which was a shame as our previous visit was fabulous. There was no complimentary water in the room despite a temperature of 40^. Breakfast they had run out of English breakfast tea, and I don’t drink coffee. Otherwise everything is still perfect for a stopover

Beautiful building, helpful staff, great restaurant.

Kettles in rooms are increasingly common in France, but not here, not yet. Approach in the rain as darkness fell through forbidding slabs of modern apartment/office blocks had us worrying about location, but park setting set our minds at rest. Only a few rooms are in the main house and we had one, might feel less positive if we had been in accommodation elsewhere in the grounds.

We love our room, where we feel so cosy and at home. The lady at reception is lovely and most accommodating, as well as the night reception person. Food and staff in restaurant just amazing

Breakfast a bit poor, not up to the other standards Front desk man , who told me off because I was not happy that the sanitizing gel dropped on my bag and my coat... very upsetting person Very noisy group of guests in the staircase during the night

Room changed every day even if not required! Breakfast buffet 11 euros great. restaurant gets booked as also accessible to external customers so worth booking ahead if required. Bit of a mix up if your French isn't up to high speed interpretation!

Liked it all

We loved this old castle, and our stunning room, where we really felt at home Many thanks to the reception staff, who has been more than helpful to us on arrival, and the room cleaners too.

Trying to think about something we did not like ... not much actually, maybe just breakfast, that we found a bit "poor" compared to the quality of the hotel ... (maybe because we are used to UK hotel breakfasts) but the fresh fruit salad was a real pleasure, so .... nothing to write here actually.
