The location was easy to get to, the chateau and staff were lovely, the pool was great and we had the 4 course tasting menu which was excellent together with the wine pairing. We also had the voyagers menu one night this was a little limited for our taste but the portions were good size and the food nice. We also had a special desert from the chateau for our wedding anniversary which was a nice touch. The room was lovely and bed comfy but definitely needed the aircon which was quite efficient.
We had the London room and whilst we knew it was accessible by stairs when we booked these did prove a little challenging to get the cases up and down. It was not a room I would recommend if you have any mobility issues. The shower was good although I have was a little concerned having the light bulb in the centre of the rain shower - not something I was keen on!

it was a tale of two rooms. My husband and I had the Venice Carnival suite. it was lovely in all ways. our friends stayed in the Lord of London room (more about that below). The chateau is beautiful with lovely grounds. I especially liked the covered Moroccan like lounge area in the pool area. The breakfast buffet was varied and excellent.
Access to the Lord of London room is via a steep and narrow winding staircase. The door opens outward onto a small threshold, that was precarious. This is stated neither on the hotel website nor on booking.com. The room is not for people with mobility issues. Our friends limited the number of times they went up and down the stairs because of this situation.

An unforgettable luxurious night in a stunning chateau. My only regret was that I did not get to stay longer than one night — I will absolutely return. The chateau is easily accessed by taxi from the train station. From the moment I arrived, I was in awe of the experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating (even in English), and the entire property is stunning. I treated myself to dinner at the restaurant, and had one of the best meals of my life. I deeply regret only ordering the four-course menu instead of the seven-course. Give this chef a Michelin star! I also enjoyed an hour in the spa (40 Euros I believe), which was extremely relaxing — you get a private room with a sauna, steam room, and hot tub. Make sure to leave time to explore the property, which is quite large and designed for visitors. I have been thinking about my stay here every day since I left, and I cannot wait to return.

Everything. The Chateau is impeccable. Full of class and wonderful beautiful artistic touches. Generous rooms and extras. And a team that took extra special care of our family with a 2-year old. And the gastronomy was delightful. Highly recommended if you are ever in Nantes.
Not being able to stay more than one night. It was service experience perfection.

Amazing stay, staff friendly and helpful, room exquisite. All high end products in room. Dyson fan, hairdryer. The only down side was the shower seemed to get water everywhere no matter what you did. We used towels on floor and hung then when done. Did not hinder our stay at all. Pool was great, grounds and history were fun to explore and relax.

the property is incredible. stunning, and so many things to do and discover on-site. we stayed at the 1001 nights suite, highly recommended; the last building standing after the castle was burnt in the French revolution. The staff was amazing! Laurent was great as well as all of the staff who attended us during our stay. We will definitely return!

Beautiful room and lounge, restaurant with a good quality of products.
Disappointed about the spa: the private hour was not worth the money, and no possibility to refresh (quite a suffocating experience). The service in the restaurant was kind but lacked seniority and real knowledge.

The property is very nice and full of history. It has been renovated to a modern place without loosing the spirit. We have really enjoyed every moment. You can see some videos of my stay at lifealafrancaise tiktok (not gifted not sponsored)

The chateau is just magnificent. The decor is outstanding as are the staff and the restaurant. The gardens are amazing, especially the themed areas of the world and the whole area is lit at night, very, very special.
English Breakfast tea would have been welcomed. Also we would have liked to know that our room The Lord of London had a very steep spiral staircase to the entrance, we could manage it but many others wouldn't be able to climb the stairs

Beautiful Chateau, lovely room and helpful staff. Location was convenient and not far off route. Breakfast was good, if not a little expensive.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on a Sunday as was the Spa. An evening meal was provided but the cost was high for what it was, the price seemed comparable to restaurant prices.
