Nice accommodations but beware of hidden costs. what booking.com tells you is not the same as what the hotel expects and charges.

The extra charges when we arrived. When the deluxe room says one Queen and one sofa bed, it means that they will make up the sofa bed for 28euros a night. it is not included in the room charge. Booking.com wrote us that there would not be a charge for that, but the hotel wrote in French that there was a charge. if we understood French we might have been prepared for the extra charges

The room was fantastic: the family room was split in main room and kid room; or the kids, there were a toilet for each room. The breakfast was a lovely continental with a large assortment of cheeses, hams etc. and croissants, biscuits, cereals etc. we didn't managed to try the restaurant because we arrived too late and the kitchen was closed ( 19,00 or 19.30)

The only thing I could fault, it was the price for the breakfast which it's the same price for adults, and when you have small kids they don't eat more than a croissant or a bowl of cereal, maybe a full price for kids over 16 y would be more appropriate in my eyes.

One of best hotels with old design ! And first of all personal is very very friendly, i was late around 3 hrs in the midnight to check in and it was closed(, but still the Marie not letten me sleep outside and she come come back to let me in! Great place and im very thankfull

Good location and good beds, it is in an old building. It is very clean and there was a fan in the room (needed!).

Not very convenient as the time windows to check-in/check-out : You can check in only after 4pm and you have to check out before 10am. It is called spa but there is just a jaccuzzi that you need to book in advance in order to use it.

Breakfast is very poor for the price How is this a SPA? Owners not that friendly and definitely a lack of flexibility on their side: we arrived at 12.15 way before check-in and we had booked a private parking (this was available but we could not park in the shadow); obviously we understood that we could not check in that early or that the parking place had no shadow but nothing was proposed to safely store my bike and even more so our wine (which cannot be left in the car for hours without airco if the car cannot be parked in the shadow). Instead of leaving everything safely behind at the hotel and visit the beautiful little village, we had to drive out to a bigger city with underground parking to find a spot to safely park a full car, before we could check in at 4pm. We have never experienced this and most hotels offer a luggage space or even a garden shed or something (the hotel had a luggage space) to at least to safely store the goods of customers while they cannot check in. A pity!

The owner was very grumpy, I don’t know wether iit was due to the Covid or he might me in a bad marriage. The curly guy that was working in the hotel was way more sympathic and had a bit more patience with our bad level of the french language. Also for the wine they charged 5 euro per glass. The glasses were very empty and dirty. The hotel in general is cosy but unfortunately the owner ruïnes that you feel welcome in the hotel. I felt like he did not even wanted us there. Nothing strange happened. He was like that since the first moment. If he would change that behaviour and accept that not the whole world is speaking French he would make a big change to his own hotel!

staff wasn’t very friendly on arrival and bathroom is located in a room across from the bedroom, not nice having to cross that every time
