This place surprised us for all the right reasons. The location offers peace, quiet and lovely nature (and river). The rooms are simple and welcoming, well kept and clean. The staff is very helpful and kind. The breakfast was great and we highly recommend paying for it - it's worth it. We only stayed one night unfortunately but we would definitely stay again. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, this is the place for you.

the location is perfect if you like a quiet spot but also not too far from the town centre. the river is beautiful and you can swim there when it’s warm enough . Dog friendly too and our dog enjoyed the water too . From the 3 floor balcony it a lovely view of the surrounding lower Pyrenees and not another house in sight ! spacious room and a comfortable king size bed in our apartment.

On arrival the place has a grand feel but to be honest the rooms aren’t at all , the apartment was spacious but had a very dated feel and the bathroom was basic . Breakfast was fine but expensive for what was provided .

This hotel is an enchanted and truly romantic place! Although it is only a little walk from the center of the village, you find yourself transported to a calm and relaxing setting surrounded by nature, where you can easily relax. The river Tech flowing close by on the premises offers a natural swimming pool. The staff is very friendly, attentive and always ready to have a little chat. At breakfast local bio products are offered. The views from the balconies are spectacular. I spend a wonderful time at the hotel Emeraude and can truly recommend it to all kind of travellers.

Absolutely beautiful little room! It was spotlessly clean and very convenient, with a kitchenette, two beds, a little table, and balcony. I was impressed by how functional the wardrobe space was, and also the layout of the bathroom--there was plenty of places to put our stuff, so it never felt cramped despite the compact size of the room. I went with my mom, and we both really enjoyed looking out at the treetops from the balcony. Kitchen was quite serviceable too, and had everything we needed. I really appreciated having a bath, which was deep enough to enjoy and had the wonderful mineral water the area is famous for. Very relaxing place to spend a few days--or longer!

Nothing, though I would say if you don't have your own car, it might be a little further from the town centre than other options.

This is a charming property in an idyllic location, with a terrace overlooking the river, large and well-equipped rooms with kitchenettes, and very accommodating and helpful staff. The bar even has locally brewed gluten-free beer! There’s free on-site parking and it’s a short walk into the town.

Nothing at all wrong with the property—it was the off-season, so all the facilities (e.g., restaurant) were not completely open, but the stay was still a wonderful one!

Great hotel, very calm and quiet next to the beautiful river. Comfortable beds and good breakfast. Friendly staff and great facilities, free parking right in front of the hotel. Beautiful small village in the mountains with a lot of nature around. Very quiet and dark at night. Clean, little kitchen to prepare some small food. We had a perfect stay.

The location near the river is beautiful. The breakfast was better than in most French hotels.

However in the description on the website was mentioned that there was no restaurant, in the hotel were several publication boards with menu's and other restaurant services. When we asked to take a dinner we heared that the restaurant was stopped.

We had the loveliest of time at the Castelll Émeraude having been given unexpectedly a bedroom with a great terrace where we did spend a great deal of time as it was so peaceful. The bedroom was comfortable and the kitchenette surprisingly well equipped with coffee maker, microwave and a big fridge which is a plus in a hot place. The hotel is extremely well appointed with the Tech river at the bottom of the garden. The private secure parking was also one of our priorities and very much appreciated. The staff was welcoming and Jacques recommended a scenic walk nearby. The town of Amélie is only 10 minutes walking distance. The prices are extremely good value for money and we already look forward to our next stay when visiting family nearby. The balcony rooms overlooking the river were delightful. We loved how dog friendly it was, and so so tranquil. The staff were all lovely and so welcoming. The small kitchen was appreciated.

The breakfast was very good

it was written that the Bar with light snacks would be open until 9pm or later, but this was not true unfortunately. We found a coffee could be had from the vending machine but that is not what we had in mind.
