I never write reviews but this time I felt compelled to give you an honest opinion of our stay. Denis was the PERFECT host . He was so welcoming and friendly. He made our stay as stress free and relaxing as possible. We couldn’t have asked for more. The views were beautiful and you could step out of the garden straight onto the beach. Cleanliness was top notch. It was spotlessly clean and the decor was nice ,fresh and well thought about. The rooms were nice and spacious, with patio doors overlooking the beach. The bathroom was also airy with huge bath and big shower. The bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was just right. The fresh local produce was simply wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. We weren’t rushed in anyway, we could take as long as we wanted. Everyday it was something different and new. A lot of thought was put into making it special. On a side not the local restaurants in the harbour ( walking distance ) were all of a high standard and very reasonably priced. We highly recommend trying le Maree. Wonderful. All in all this is without doubt the best place we have stayed in on our annual trips to Normandy. We couldn’t have asked for more. There is no doubt that we will be staying there again. Denis has blown all the competition out of the water. Seriously Denis you deserve a big Pat on the back for all your efforts. It was perfect. Thank you.

The only thing missing and it’s so small that I feel silly even mentioning it is some English breakfast tea bags. There was a large selection of different teabags there but no regular breakfast tea. Very very minor and an easy fix. Us English love our cuppa.

Newly built addition on an historical home right above the English Channel very near the Normandy Historical beaches. Lovely decor, clean facilities and an attentive owner/host. The owner had great suggestions for restaurants, nearby shops off the beaten track, and some amazing ice cream recommendations. The breakfast and fresh bread were superb and we were sad we had to leave so early to make the drive to Lille.

Denis is a fantastic host. Every detail was thought thru and done with great deliberation. He does everything himself including the art, building stone walls, and setting up breakfast. The location is perfect for visiting the D Day sites.

The breads were of the highest quality that he served for breakfast. Possibly some eggs could have been provided.

We had an amazing time and Denis was such a warm host. He took care of everything and made recommendations for us of where to eat. The breakfast was absolutely amazing...every little detail from the plates and serving glassware. His home is beautiful and we cant wait to go back

Incredibly stylish and beautiful accommodation, with stunning views out to sea. The room was exceptional including a lovely bathroom with a bath from which you can see the sea. Excellent host who provided storage for our touring bikes. The breakfast was delicious and hearty, including brioche, cheese, yoghurt and jam. Would highly recommend

The room was gorgeous- huge, with a wonderful view of the garden and ocean. Beautiful bathroom. Breakfast was terrific- a half loaf of brioche and a half loaf of a baguette, plus two local cheeses and ham. Then buttery croissants with homemade jam. The owner was very welcoming and the lounge had numerous books on the area. The owner provided recommendations for restaurants which were spot on.

There was no shower, just a huge bathtub. Breakfast didn't start until 8:30 so we missed it our first morning since we had to make it to a tour.

You rarely find accommodation as perfect as Les 4 Vents. The quiet location with its ocean view is a dream and perfect to unwind. The room was impeccable and the bed as comfortable as home with luxurious sheets. Breakfast in the garden was another highlight. We would have loved to stay longer to read in the wonderful garden or to swim in the ocean right in front of the house. Thank you, Denis, for the lovely time in Grandcamp-Maisy et à bientôt.

Everything was perfect

From the moment we arrived Denis made us feel at home and was very welcoming and friendly. The property benefits from being in a peaceful location but a stones throw from the town. Makes an ideal base for touring the dday landing beaches. Breakfast was amazing, the selection of local bread and cheese was en pointe. The homemade jam that Michelle made is not to be missed. The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy with an amazing view. We cant wait to visit again.

I came hear with my husband and my Dad 2 nights and the place was exceptional - stunning views from our room. The hosts were so welcoming and relaxed. The breakfast out on the lawn in the morning was incredible. The place is also right on the cycle lane to the omaha beaches and historic sites. The village is also a 10 minute walk away and right o the sea. Beautiful restaurants in the area. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Everything! The room was beautiful and clean and the view was absolutely amazing. Breakfast was so good everytime with local products and wonderful bread and pastry. The owner was very friendly and gave us some amazing ideas which made us discover a whole new side of Normandy that we hadn’t discover yet. We felt at home here and we we’re sad to leave.
