We were impressed from the moment we drove through the gates and entered the premises. History, charm and a distinct Chateau-feel charracterised the common parts. A lovely bedroom complemented by a spacious bathroom shortly described the Superior room we stayed in. People in search of a standardised hotel night should probably look elsewhere; people in search of an experience true to the region of Chateaux will rejoice.

nothing - can't wait to try out the outdoor swimming pool and the on-site restaurant when we come back (which we definitely will)

The Castle is impressive, it has noble facilities with antique decoration and style. The breakfast salon and the restaurant are imposing and beautiful. The lighting in the evening brings a magical touch.

The staff could have been more kind and helpful, particularly on our arrival and departure to help with the luggage considering that it is a medieval castle with many stairs and long walks depending on the location of the guest room. This kind of service is expected from a hotel of that category.

Breakfast was good value and the château environment superb and a choice of eating inside or on the terrace. Staff members always had a smile and a great start to the day. Only regret we took the cheaper room under the roof. Loved sitting in the courtyard for tea or apéritif.

Lighting in our room. Need of Shower screen and air vent in bathroom. The water pressure was excellent even better than most international 5 * hotels!!! Maybe better use of the adjacent room with wall hooks(thinking of coats)

The Hotel was absolutely charming. It had a fabulous slightly old fashioned atmosphere. Where you felt the staff really cared. The bedroom was amazing with an incredibly comfortable (and huge) bed, with excellent views over the gardens. The swimming pool was excellent slightly warmed so not as to shock. The hotel’s restaurant was delicious, although the menu limited and not suitable for vegetarians. We had an absolutely fabulous trip and will definitely be returning.

The shower could do with a little modernisation.

Lovely Hotel to stay in, the rooms are dated but it is a chateau so totally in keeping with the style of the place. The pool was lovely and refreshing after a day visiting Chateaux in the area. The staff were very helpful and the food was good, a little bit expensive for what you got. A very special and unique place to stay, I would highly recommend if you are in the area and we would stay again if we went back to this area. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

Special Thankyou to Matthieu for his patience assisting us with our poor French and advice on local trains etc. Lovely weekend stay in the Loire countryside at this classically stylish and comfortable Chateau .Enjoyed a very nice dinner at the Chateau restaurant .Property surrounds and garden aesthetically pleasing .close to cycle paths to nearby towns .

At this hotel standard we would normally expect simple in room tea and coffee making facilities . Could be a problem during a heatwave with no aircon .No room TV but sufficient wifi for Laptop or Ipad streaming .Very quiet local town with only a boulangerie within walking distance , sadly no cafe and one unappealing restaurant which seemed closed. Head to Montrichard for plenty of foodie /cafe/bar options

Fabulous old chateau in a lovely location in the Loire Valley. Excellent restaurant with beautiful foods and service for both evening dinner and breakfast. We loved the ancient oak beams in out bedroom.

The shower attachment was situated within the bath with no curtain provided so it was impossible to take a shower without soaking the bathroom. Tiles were missing from the around the sink which is most unhygienic and overall our bathroom was well below the standard of what you'd expect from such a beautiful chateau. Also the taps on the bidet didn't work.

Beautiful chateau that is very tastefully presented. The evening dinner restaurant is exceptional. Excellent food and excellent value. I believe it's listed as a Michelin Restaurant Bib Gourmand. We only stayed 1 night and took the dolomite cave suite. Again beautifully presented with a wonderful private giant bathtub jacuzzi. It's quite an experience though, as you are sleeping in a cave! The children loved it. Pet friendly too.

Nothing, it was great. Perfect for 1 or 2 nights, not a long stay.

The place, the design of the room, the outside.

The room was in a cavern and it was fascinating, but we hadn’t booked for that. Moreover, it was damp and it didn’t have a proper a/c. We usually don’t need a/c but in that case, with a humidity problem of that kind, you need something! There was a machine for humidity which didn’t work and made a lot of noise.

The castle is beautiful, and a very romantic place to stay. The room was large, comfortable, and furnished with period furniture. On-site parking was good, Wi-Fi was ok, and staff were friendly and helpful. The resteaurant was very good but a bit expensive.

Facilities were a bit basic, with no fridge in the room, and only a hand shower in the bathroom.
