Stunning property in a lovely location. The decor, paintings, furniture and fittings were all beautiful. The room was very quiet.

This might seem picky but… a 4 star Chateau with superb facilities, magnificent views, amazing staff, incredible dining room & bar should NOT have just 2 thin walled, single use paper cups in the room for tea & coffee!! Not even a spoon, just a few wooden sticks to stir your drink with. Basically, the facilities to make a drink in the room were the worst that I have ever experienced, in 24 countries across 4 continents, to be honest, it would have been better if they hadn’t even bothered to put anything in the room. Management responsible for this needs to attend a course on providing in room hospitality. The bathroom layout needs redesigning (room 15), the shower in the bath is awkward and difficult to use.

Set in a beautiful location and the chateau is stunning. Unfortunately there was no hot water during our stay, for which the staff were extremely apologetic about, however as the weather was rather warm then we made do with a cold shower. The swimming pool was refreshing with good changing and shower facilities and a bar open until 6pm. We played tennis during our stay which was free to use. We would have liked to have dinner at the restaurant as it was a beautifully decorated room, however we found the menu quite limited. We would definitely stay at the chateau again as it was not far to drive to Tours or to one of our favourite golf courses in the area.

A wider choice of menu would have definitely encouraged us to eat in the restaurant each evening.

A special property, you feel you have gone back in time. Good sized bedroom. Comfy bed and good shower. Lovely view from the window. Good breakfast and dinner was excellent. Attentive staff.

I was disappointed with the pool area as it did not match the listed photographs. The loungers did not have cushions which made them rather hard, there were no round beds and the comfy chairs around the bar area had been replaced with cheap plastic white chairs.

Very nice personnel, good breakfast with the view to the beautiful park. Couldn’t try the restaurant as it was fully booked. Nice pool and view from the window. Nicely decorated hall and bar with imitation of antique furniture sometimes frankly plastic imitations but it gives nice image overall or pictures. In general nice experience.

In the room there was old smell, quiet dated carpet, no bath robes, toilet flush was broken. Need some small renewing. But I enjoyed the stay anyway.

We loved the chateau! The suite was large and comfortable with a nice bathroom. We enjoyed the amenities (pool and tennis courts), and the breakfast each morning. We wish we’d had even more time to stay and explore!

The screen in one of our rooms had holes in it, so we couldn’t leave the window open because of the bugs, which was unfortunate as it was hot. The tennis equipment could use a little updating, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Great experience in chateaux, wine, cognac tasting, nice dinner. Our waiter was amazing. Unfortunately we cannot remember his name. We brought great wine and brought it home. Breakfast was also very generous and had a good selection. Next time,we would arrive earlier as we rushed to be on time for prebooked dinner. However, I even managed to jump into the pool. We would definitely recommend arriving earlier to enjoy the place more.

We appreciate the chateaux is old and Aircon cannot be installed. It was very hot day in August and we had opened windows and fan, but it would not help even at night. Maybe rooms on lower ground do not get this heat. Child's bed was also uncomfortable. Also dinner for child is very limited. Good she ate the fish, but she got literally 1 spoon of mash potato on her plate. It's more fine dining for adults. Therefore we do not score place 10

The grandeur of the place, the entrance hall and lounge/bar area has a wonderful opulence that definitely has the wow factor. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely garden and terrace area. The Louis XIII restaurant had an air of high quality and sophistication. The food was of high quality. The bedroom was airy with a comfortable bed and good lighting to read by with some lovely furniture.

The bathroom was outdated and tired looking, definitely in need of a refresh, doesn't have to be super modern as that would spoil the ambience. The 2 doors of the separate toilet and the bathroom knocked together and the doors were simple white panel affairs which didn't fit with the 'up market' feel of the public areas.

Everything! Such a gorgeous place. The grounds are gorgeous. The swimming pool is gorgeous. The breakfast room, bar and foyer are lovely. The courtyard garden felt like being in a film set! We absolutely loved it. Lovely touches like sweets for the children, free drinks at the pool (as we had a suite) and the staff member booking a restaurant for us in Tours as the hotel restaurant was full.

I liked everything about it. If you like ultra modern you might not appreciate this place but I loved everything about it. We would have loved to eat in the restaurant on the evening we stayed but we booked late so it was (understandably) full. It is around 20 mins from Tours, which was lovely too.

The Chateau is picturesque. From the start to finish the staff were excellent. The person on reception, the maitre d, to house keeping - all were a credit to the hotel. We ate dinner in the restaurant on a Friday evening and it was the one of the best experiences in years. Breakfast in the morning was also very good.

It is an old building so don’t expect the place to be perfect or have lifts to every floor. But really nothing I didn’t like.

The hotel and location were wonderful. The terrace was superb for supper. The evening meal was excellent and equally important - really good value.

V little. The room was at the top of the house very warm- it really needs ac to make it comfortable. I suspect lower rooms are better. There is a super walk around the Chateau so great if you've got a dog with you. All in all, it is definitely a place to return to.
