This was a delightful find for our overnight stop ,ideal for anyone who appreciates rural living . The owner David left his Paris life over a decade ago with his partner and now keeps chickens , a couple of well behaved cocker spaniels, and grows his own fruit and vegetables whilst running this small b& B. The big bonus for us was that we were able to experience one of his evening meals in the summer house with 2 friendly and interesting guests who were on a cycling holiday. You will see from other reviews what a treat this can be, but understandably not always available. Thankyou so much David that you were able to include this for us.

Everything was great, you will be staying in an old renovated farm decorated with taste with all the amenities (fridge, hair dryer, wifi). The place is very peaceful and our host was very caring. David is an amazing host and an excellent cook, he will give you the most special dinning experience in the cabin in the garden. Breakfast are a delight to start your day. We can only highly recommend this place to stay!

The location is ideal for travelling around the Loire as well as as being a perfect stop when driving further south or on your return journey north. We had the table d'hote option as we were tired when we arrived. This was superb - excellent food and a selection of good wines and local beers on offer. Also a great breakfast with fresh bread, very good coffee, freshly made smoothies and pancakes. We take our dog and he is made to feel very welcome. Lots of dog walking opportunities in area.We have stayed on three seperate occasions and will go again.

Quietness, nice garden, good breakfast

We asked if it would be possible to have dinner (this possibility was one of the reasons to book this stay: after a long drive no need to search for a restaurant). One day later we received positive confirmation of that from the owner. Upon arrival the owner first said that he hadn’t received the request and, when I showed him the response of the day later, he said that that was an automated response. I’ll leave it at that…

Breakfast was fresh and exceeding all expectations; it included freshly cooked eggs from own chickens, freshly baked pancakes, fresh bread, all kinds of bread toppings. The room was very clean and comfortable. The host is extremely friendly and happy to help with any requests. Friendliness towards animals was great.

The host wasn't there yet when we arrived before the check in time. This was of course not unexpected, but we had to wait a while in the heat. Due to our bad mobile signal, we had troubles calling the host. However, the host was so smart to send us a text message saying that he already had left the key in the door to our room, so we could enter before the host even arrived! So our reception went very well in the end.

Lovely Chambre d’hote in a beautiful quiet location and highly recommended. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. David was a friendly and attentive host who went out of his way to cater for my wife’s food intolerance. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made and much appreciated. Thank you David. We look forward to seeing you again next year.

We were only able to stay for one night.

This character property is in an idyllic location. wonderful for walks, access to the chateaus in the Loire and only 2km to a wonderful local restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner David (as was our dog Willow). The breakfast was lovely enhanced by special touches such as fresh eggs from their chickens, homemade yoghurt and crepes. The best stay we have had in this region and excellent value for money.

Hidden in the Loire Valley there is this incredible gem of hospitality. From the moment of arrival we were stunned how beautifully the old stables were renovated and which comfort they are offering. Completely dry in the inside, warm at night. Cozy. The host pays much attention to any detail. That follows by nice greeting and an incredible feast in the evening in the Swedish pavilion in the Gardens (where our children before had the chance to play in the Greens). The host cooks himself and it felt more like being with friends than just being clients/guests. The breakfast he also does completely himself with fresh bread, crepes, smoothie, etc. Truly one highlight of our trip though it was only booked for an overnight-stay between Germany and Spain.

Almost too good to advertise for - limits the chances for us to get a booking in the future without trouble! ;-) Honestly: Not a single thing to do better. Well, maybe you should go for an outdoor Sauna!!! :-) We will come back one day!

Amazing healthy breakfast made by our very friendly & welcoming host.The location was very quiet & well situated to visit some of the beautiful castles. Lovely loop walk close by to walk my dog who also gives a 5 Paws stars for the place & furry welcoming hosts Orio & Ivoire

This place is a great stop over, very clean, comfortable large bed. We choose to have dinner, which was cooked by David in a purpose built cabin in the garden, on a charcoal fire. He is a great chef and It was an exceptional meal and could honestly say the best meal and value for money that we had in France! We purchased a great bottle of Red as well. Thank you David👍

If you have mobility issues, the spiral staircase to the large bedroom could be an issue! We were fine though.
