Its beautiful remodelling of a fairytale chateau originally built in the nineteenth century. The decor throughout is very nineteenth century with extravagant wallpapers, furnishings and artwork. The room was very spacious; the bathroom was one of the best and there was even a kettle in the room with very fragrant teas - not something you get very often in France. The staff were courteous and helpful. For a room in a place like this in the UK you would pay double at least. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Table d’hote menu but all very carefully crafted and described by the waiters. If you like good service, history and art, hushed living and good food this one is a winner. There was an enormous choice for breakfast, most of which seemed to be home made. No little plastic pots of pretend jam. Pastries, bread, cheeses, meats, cereals, yoghurts in abundance - and cooked meal if you wanted.

It is very near the ring road for Rennes so yo do hear the traffic if the windows are open. Not a problem for us as it was not that warm but might annoy some in the summer when windows are open. I don't think there was air conditioning

Beautiful Chateau. Quiet grounds in a park like setting. Staff was helpful. Good massages on offer. Very good breakfast, dinner and room service. The room was great with a proper big bed. Decorated nicely. Loved the hotel. Everything about it. We stayed 2 nights. Used as a hub to explore Rennes (Great city!) and Dinan. I wish we would have stayed longer. Best hotel of our 10 day trip in Brittany.

I wish the Dining room would have permitted small dogs to sit quietly in a bag. But the solution for dinner was that it was delivered to the room. Which, was a good option. As our big room had a table for dining.

Castle is beautiful. Room is spacious. Free two bottles of water and biscuits in the room. I didn’t drink it because we use kettle. We stay in Castle without air conditioner, but a fan in the room. It seems OK when we stayed there on 8/10/2023

When we checked in, no one in reception. Some hotel employees are busy on serving dinner to the customer. We waited a while, then looked around the castle and took some photos. When we came back to reception, the receptionist was ready for our check in.

Glorious picture-perfect chateau, we felt very special to be allowed to stay there. Our room (Pauline) was huge, as was the bed, loads of storage, excellent lighting and the shower in the turret was unlike anything we've seen before. Drinks were reasonably priced, considering where we were and the breakfast was excellent. All staff friendly and helpful. Very quiet and rural location.

Shame the restaurant wasn't open for dinner on the day we stayed, although we did know this before we booked. No air-con in the chateau itself, for obvious reasons - if you want air-con, book to stay in the Annexe.

The location was superb, the Chateau itself still had some wonderful pieces from the era yet modern bathrooms and facilities. The staff were welcoming and friendly yet professional at all times. Great breakfast and they could even provide Gluten free bread !

The bed was too soft for me, just my preference. Only main problem was we had to go home :(

The property is an 1833 chateau that has been meticulously restored. Clearly no expenses were spared in the renovation, but all period details were lovingly preserved. The hotel has a first rate gourmet restaurant and, though in the countryside, is only 20 minutes from the center of Rennes, which can be easily reached by taxi or Uber. The staff was also exceptionally friendly.

The chateau interior was very beautiful though we were staying in the pavilion which was less glorious but still very comfortable.

We found the reception staff often absent and poorly informed. When we eventually found someone to pay on our departure, the bill was wrong on numerous details. The restaurant staff were fab - very pleasant and informative.

Beautiful building, lovely room, modern fittings, convenient out of city location. Excellent meal and attentive service in the restaurant. Bathroom a great feature, being circular and located in one of the turrets. Only 8 bedrooms and felt very intimate.

Road noise, but only an issue if you open the double glazed windows! Ducks squawking through the night (mating season?), housekeeping forgot to replenish our bath towels. Otherwise an excellent venue. Would definitely return.
