Beautiful decor, well-appointed and very efficient. Spa facilities we're very clean and enjoyable.

Guests we're smoking everywhere. All lounges, public areas and even out on the patios. Couldn't escape the smoke although we thought we were staying at a wellness spa! Should have one designated non-smoking public area.. A full day of construction work occurred outside of our room and it was very noisy and couldn't enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful grounds. Disappointing. Stayed for two nights, air conditioning was not functional on a hot sticky visit. Couldn't sleep well. they tried to fix it, it was about 20% better and the second night was a bit more comfortable. We were not offered a comparable quality room so opted to tough it out.. we brought these concerns to hotel management, they were quite apologetic and had lots of reasons why...

Spas (complimentary inside the hotel and extra fee outside in the courtyard) were wonderful. The indoor and outdoor pools were both relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. The Yonaguni spa is one of a kind! I've been to spas all over the world (Japan, S. Korea, Mexico, Costa Rica) and never seen anything quite like this one! A great deal ($20 per person) from 3PM to 8PM access for hotel residents. The spa treatments are priced well (surprisingly reasonable) considering how posh a place this is! The room had traditional Alsace charm. Clean bathroom. Nice seating area. Excellent customer service. The food, at the restaurant and snacks/sandwiches on the garden patio, was delicious!

Rooms were a bit over-priced but it's July in France during an especially hectic travel summer. No real complaints at all! I would love to return.

We liked everything very much. The staff is very attentive and friendly. All of our wishes have been fulfilled. The breakfast was great, great selection. The restaurant is of very good quality.

the own spa facility is very small and it is quite cool there. But the Yonaguni Spa is exceptional. This should definitely be visited.

High quality hotel. Old style Alsatian with modern elements. Good breakfast. Nice little breakfast room off the main room. Pool is good but sauna is not great. However hotel guests get a reduced entry fee to the Yonaguni spa which has outstanding infrastructure especially the different types of showers and water spectacles and relaxation rooms.

Many things are only in French language not even German and English. Spa is great but they do not have the same sauna culture as the Germanic and Scandinavian countries. No Aufguss. No textile free sauna. No ice bath.

the bar with a huge rum selection, the good smell and cosy atmosphere, fantastic breakfast, the in-house restaurant although quite costly offers fine quality dishes

the overall prices, not justified for a 4-star hotel 250 € / night is exaggerated especially without the entrance to Yonaguni Spa, which in itself is spectacular but 60€ extra, come on…

The building and grounds are well maintained. The hotel’s spa is nice and the additional cost spa was very impressive. We went during the week on the off season and it was not too busy. Food was fantastic. Breakfast was amazing. Loved the bar for late night drinks and snacks. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit dated and could use some modernizing.

The Yonaguni spa is incredibly amazing - the best in the world I've seen so far. You pay only a little more extra but it's worth it. The free spa is also nice, maybe if you want only 1h or so, some end of day relaxation. But Yonaguni... It's like a theme park for adults. It's the single reason to come here. The breakfast is quite good as well, but very expensive.

The staff is a bit inflexible. Checkout is very early (11:00) we asked and reluctantly 12:00 was possible. But then at 11:30 someone knocked on our door saying we should have left at 11:00. The restaurant is not large enough to fit all guests during dinner... we spent more than 1h trying to find last minute dinner elsewhere in Obernai. I will still return here in the future, but only because of the spa.

The hotel was spotless and made you feel like on a weekend off in a countryside, which is exactly what we were looking for. The region offers plenty of outdoor activities, including hiking, horse-riding, visiting numerous medieval ruins and castles, wine tasting, etc. After a busy day outdoor, you can enjoy yourself in the stunning hotel spa and swimming pools, which really are exceptional and very clean. The hotel restaurant was also a very pleasant surprise. Definitely a place to come back.

Breakfast was great. lots of variations, not a normal basic breakfast. outside pool was nice setting. inside spa a bit outdated, but a nice pool also inside.

the mix of old and new is a bit strange. the entire hotel is a bit missing the Special atmosphere. they try to be special, but somehow they are not. two spas, one free, one with pretty high extra costs. some of the personnel is friendly, some not. somehow we get the impression the concept is missing. but I’m generel, good place to stay for a day or two, but don’t expect too much.
