The charm of the location is one of the best things about the Chopin. At the end of a beautiful ancient Galerie (part of several in the area - felt very historic). Our room was inward facing and exceptionally quiet for Paris. Staff were lovely especially Alicia, the resident cat and Mlle Paulette who was sometimes with her Maman at Reception. One day during our stay there was an electricity problem and no hot water. Staff did everything to get it repaired asap. The area is full of good places to eat and small supermarkets to purchase the odd bit and piece.

Having Maxwell House powdered coffee as the breakfast offering is hard to understand in a city like Paris which loves its coffee. It made us search out another option. A simple thing for the hotel to fix :)

The location was great for us - a quiet part of town, near the store, metro, bars and restaurants. The employees were very helpful and kind. One night we came back were late, the main passage was closed and one of the employees guided us by phone to the next entrance.

The bath had no curtain (maybe this is usual for France, I don’t know), so it was hard to take a shower and not flood the entire bathroom. The big bed was not so big, so two persons (if the one is a small 10-year old) could hardly fit and sleep. The windows had just option of wide opening, so the air was not good, when we came home after all day and the windows were closed. Wifi dodn’t work all the time. There are some minor minuses that people can expect in and old hotel like this, but Hotel Chopin has its Parisian charm and warmth.

We love the Hotel Chopin, it has the classical charme of a Parisian Hotel, nothing is brand new but has patina and history and a bit of wear and tear, but thats exactly what we like about it. Close to the Grands Boulevards you reach a lot of interesting parts of Paris. Rooms are small but convenient, a black cat lives at the hotel and you´ll cross paths here and there, its nice to come "home" and find a sleeping cat at the desk next to a very friendly receptionist. It was our third or forth time there, and we look forward to the next time.

We loved our stay in this cosy historic hotel. It was beautiful, loved it !! We were in one of the oldest hotels in Paris, situated at the end of one of the oldest "passages" which is filled with gorgeous shops and cafes. What an experience - I'll remember this place forever. The room was comfortable - and sweetly decorated. The bathroom was like new. We had breakfast in the mornings in the little dining room and walked to the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe from there. It was a bit of a walk to be honest, but we managed it all one the one day. (We are in our mid 60's).

Everything was lovely.

I really liked the location of this hotel, it was inside this Parisian market with restaurants and antique shops. Not far from the center of Paris and Moulin Rouge and with multiple food options around but also loads of transport links.

The only thing that I didn't like was how thin the walls were, we could hear people from next door as if they were in our room. Thankfully everyone is coming to Paris to sightsee so people are only coming back to their rooms in the evening, and it's noisy for a little bit.

The breakfast was great - fresh orange juice, breads, jams, and yogurt. The location is very central though in a fairly touristy area. The room was quaint and comfortable.

There was some renovation/construction works going on at the property during our stay but it only affected the stairway. Room windows are close to each other so in the summer when you need to open them you can see/hear your neighbors.

The hotel is so much better than I expected, it’s an old hotel yes, but very unique and most importantly hygienic. The location is quite ok, not very far from Louvre. However, if come back late at night after 9pm, the main entrance to Passage Joffroy is closed, you have to walk a bit further to the other side and the security guard will open for you. It’s also much quieter than I expected. Only good experience for me, definitely will go back again! Both me and my pet are happy.

It is one of the oldest hotels in Paris situated in a beautiful passage. We spent 4 nights at this lovely hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, comfort, surroundings of the hotel, accessibility, cleanliness and breakfast at this hotel. And we love the cat called Clarinette.

We did not find anything. This hotel met our expectations.

Location is magical

Not much. It was great. Sole complaint: Ended up with a medical issue and was told by front desk staff to go to local public hospital which not a great choice for an adult if you have option to go to private hospital, as the wait was VERY LONG. So perhaps not the best advice delivered but hopefully most will not have this experience!
