Beautiful well appointed suite full of character and very comfortable. Fabulous shower and large bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with fresh bread every morning, fruit, ham, cheese, yoghurt, cereals and a variety of jams. Fresh tea and coffee.

Probably our fault however we were travelling with my sister and thought from the photo's that we would have a separate living room and a second double bedroom, you walk straight into main bedroom with sofa, chairs etc, but second very small bedroom (really only suitable for child) is off main bedroom, this We were offered another room but the property was full to capacity for our third night so we decided to stay put. If we stay again we now know what rooms we would need to ask for.

The owners of La Demeure des Vieux Bains, Veronique and Olivier, were the perfect hosts! They anticipated and provided for every need, even those we hadn't thought of! The two room suite was very large, comfortable, and beautiful. The shower and bath were both fantastic! (Bath was a jacuzzi style, great water pressure in shower). The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We had dinner one night at the Demeure (Olivier was the chef) and it was fabulous. Veronique was a fount of good information and advice about what to do and see in the area, and made sure to help us with local reservations for dinner. By the way, Olivier speaks English, Veronique does not - though that was not a problem for me as I speak French, but something to note for those non-French speakers.

Not enough lighting. This is a common problem in Europe in general as we have found there is often, in older places, no overhead lighting - most likely due to older electrical systems. But one solution at the Demeure might be to have a few standing lamps. Wifi was strong when it was working, but did go out a few times. Olivier would fix it right away! Do beware of a winding stone staircase and low entry doors where it's easy to bump your head. No problem for us, but could be problematic for older folks who don't get around easily.

The hotel was 'unexpected' to say the least. It is in a historic building. Our bedroom reminded us of a noble person's bedchamber circa 1700 - large and reminiscent of a castle. The breakfast had a terrace overlooking the courtyard. Olivier and Veronique were amazingly hospitable and friendly and made us feel at home immediately. The hotel is situated in easy walking distance to some of the most significant historic sites in the town. Overall - just great!

At our age, the stone winding stairs (period specific) to the 2nd floor - which mirrored those in other building in town - were a little bit of a challenge. Wouldn't recommend for anyone overweight or out of shape. Otherwise, not a problem.

This property must be experienced! 12th century inn, we had our own villa it seemed, and a real king sized bed. The hosts are so helpful and charming, they really made our stay in Provins special. The town is magical and there is much to see and do, all walking distance from this inn, as is the train station. I can't imagine that there is a more charming place to stay - this inn will live in my heart for years to come. The fountain-fish pond, the resident cat, the gorgeous grounds where we had a dinner picnic one night, the spa bathroom, the history of the magnificent property - this place has it all. Treat yourself and stay here.

The hotel is housed in an impressive medieval building very close to the historic centre of Provins with everything within walking distance. Our hosts Veronique and her husband could not have been more helpful. The room was very large and comfortable merging elegantly period rooms with very modern plumbing! Our host is also a chef and offers an excellent dinner option in the evening but requiring to be booked in advance if travelling and at breakfast on the day if staying more than one night - they helpfully email before hand to let you know the menu if you are on the road. Would highly recommend. There are lovely gardens where guests can sit out but the September weather made this not an option for us!

Where do I start??? Location, location, location...and that was just the beginning...you can pretty much walk everywhere from this property and there was ample on-site parking. Not to mention that you are an hour away from the airport! The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The buildings, outside terraces & gardens are spectacular and it is easy to recognize that Veronique and Olivier have invested a lot of time and love into it. Their attention to detail is outstanding right from the charming, medieval decor to the rose jelly that is served daily with breakfast. Veronique and Olivier are remarkable hosts, helpful and kind. I will never forget Olivier running out to meet us at our car with an umbrella or Veronique filling up my thermal mug up with coffee. My only regret is that we were unable to have dinner there.

The wifi didn't reach our room properly...it wasn't a deal breaker but it would've been useful.

This is a wonderful historic property. Sitting in the peaceful and beautiful garden was a joy. Off street parking and perfectly located for sightseeing in Provins and with several nearby restaurants. Our large room had a very comfortable super-king bed and top quality bathroom. The staff were very helpful.

Being in the oldest (12th century?) part of the property, our bedroom had very small windows so was rather dark and airless in the hot weather, and it smelt a little damp. It did have an air conditioner, so we were fine, but I suspect we would have been happier in another room. The continental breakfast had good quality coffee/tea; fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit and baguette/croissant, but given the very expensive room rate we felt a more generous breakfast including boiled eggs and charcuterie would have been appropriate.

The hosts are amazing (they even took me back to the train station). The room was lovely. Breakfast was perfect, sitting on the terrace after a morning walk to the ramparts. Suggestions for places to visit were well considered. I had a lovely time (filling in a 24 hour 'gap' in my trip's plans.

The hosts were FANTASTIC! Kind, helpful, solicitous. As I wrote in their guest book: They provided for every need and even those we didn't know we needed. Breakfast was wonderful, and the dinner we had there delicious. Room was beautiful and spacious. Shower - great water pressure, bath even had bubbles!

Wifi was strong when it was available, but went out rather often. A little more light in the spacious room might have been nice - a couple of standing lamps, for example, near the couch.

The historic and beautifully decorated 18th and 12th century grand home is a gift to visit in quaint Provins. The gardens are peaceful after a long drive

Would have liked to stay longer than a quick overnight and dinner. Would have planned time to read in the garden. We did take time to explore the ramparts and 'up' town. The estate is a beautiful, historic building. It exceeded expectations as a place to stay overnight. Thank you
