Tranquil rural location near to autoroute if traveling south west through France or simply stay for longer to explore Normandy. Truly excellent French cuisine that surpassed all of our expectations using fresh local produce. Lovely setting with the river and streams meandering through the gardens. The delightful and helpful manager (Romanau) & his team made us feel so welcome. Our tastefully appointed double aspect bedroom had lovely views over the grounds. Pet friendly, our dog was also allowed in the restaurant with us, unlike many other "dog friendly" places that don't.

What really made my stay so warm and welcoming was the staff for sure. They were very accommodating and even helped me trying to book a taxi to a nearby wedding that I was in town for. The place itself is very much like a bed and breakfast and there's no elevator to reach your room, only stairs, so please keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage with you. The place itself is beautiful and there's dinner and breakfast service that you will need to order ahead for the evening before. As for the location, it's hard to get to if you do not have a car or other means of transportation. There are a few taxi services in the area but you will need to pre-book everything ahead of time if you want any chance of getting one. Otherwise, if you don't have a car or taxi you will be stuck! It's about a 10 minute ride from the Bernay train station, which made it otherwise accessible to a small village.

The lack of accessibility made it difficult. I do wish they had bikes or scooters available to rent on site which would have made it easier to get around without a car.

The hotel was in a very quiet location and lovely to have the sound of the stream just outside the bedroom window. Beautiful too. The food was really great and they kindly accommodated a very late arrival.

We have an electric car so would be good, due to it being quite remote, to have the option to charge the car. Also, if you have a diary allergy, they are not able to accommodate. They only have diary milk. Not the end of the world but would be good to have oat or almond milk options for the morning.

Nice place, friendly staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. We could have breakfast in our room which was great. Quiet location and lovely sound of the river, pretty gardens well kept. The dining room was comfortable and the service was excellent. Dinner was good, the chef had some excellent ideas, possibly trying a bit hard as there were a lot of things on the plates, very pretty, but sometimes less is more and the starter, while beautiful, had a lot of different flavours so was a little confusing, but well done for effort. The portions were very generous too.

The loo was in a cupboard with no window and the light was on a very short timer! Unless you were super fast you had to reactivate it, waving arms didn't always work and having to open and shut the door once or twice really wasn't ideal - I'm all for saving energy but this might have gone too far!! The bath, while very trendy, was almost a bit dangerous for someone older like me. Very slippery, sloped both ends with no handles it meant you shot down if you leant back and was quite difficult to get out of. My taller husband did better.

Amazing place set in lovely grounds you can stroll around. Lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble and done with a smile and a chat. Our room was nice and big and really lovely modern bathroom. Highly recommend the food in the evening while listening to the river flow beside you - sublime!

There were thousands of midges outside as it is right by the river so you have to keep the windows closed. There was a simple fan in the room but not overly successful on a hot night.

We arrived very late in the evening having been held up at the Channel Tunnel for over 6 hours and so missed our reservation for dinner but the hotel very kindly put together a delicious meal for us to have in our room even though it was well passed the time the kitchen would normally close. We could not fault the service and facilities. We will definitely come back to the hotel and hopefully next time make it for dinner.

Lovely location. Beautiful gardens with a river. The room was not large but beautiful and comfortable. The window can be opened which I like and there were lovely products in the bathroom. They accept dogs everywhere and didn t charge for our little dog. Very friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was good but not exceptional although unusual. We would go back as a one stop on route to the West coast of France

A beautiful and tastefully renovated property in the heart of the French countryside. We stayed one night with our 2 large dogs. We were all made to feel welcome. We would love to go back for a longer break in the summer. The gardens are extensive and well laid out with a stream running through it. The vintage watermill is a lovely feature, with the lovely bar built around it. The food in the restaurant was superb. The staff were really nice and attentive.

We had a fabulous night at Le Moulin Fouret. All the staff were excellent and looked after us very well. Room was a little on the small side for us but the only one available with single beds. It was exceptionally quiet and we had an excellent nights sleep. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. A true hidden gem

A larger bedroom would have been wonderful, apart from that there was nothing to dislike

Beautiful grounds, very relaxing with water running through them. Nice terrace, perfect for drinks after a long drive. Restaurant was very good. Very helpful in relation to a food allergy. Good breakfast, delicious breads, home made honey and jam. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is quiet yet with easy access to the motorway.

Duvet was too thick so very warm!
