This is our second year in a row staying here and we will probably stay again next year Tom, the British owner is extremely friendly and entertaining and personally did almost all the work to convert this centuries-old building into his luxury Chambre-d'Hote which includes a fancy footed copper bathtub in one of his rooms-it's a must see. Tom offers a choice of three breakfasts: full English breakfast, Normandy breakfast with four different Normandy cheeses and a classic continental dish with the flakiest croissant I've ever had and Pain au Chocolat. The setting is very rural and relaxing yet has excellent Wi-Fi capability and great television streaming choices.

The communication, location, tranquility and beauty of the property.. The colourful roses that adorned the front of the building. Thomas (the owner) is so engaging and helpful, we were delayed in arriving due to terrible weather and this was not a problem at all. The welcome we had was warm. We were shown to our room and it was everything we had hoped it would be. Just look at the photos on the main website ... the bed was so comfortable, pillows were amazing, the bath - certainly decadent. Breakfast was in a lovely set dining room, Thomas offers three choices, English breakfast, continental or Norman each served with Tea, Coffee and orange juice. The garden is a beautiful place to sit. We sat and enjoyed a G&T once we had unpacked our overnight bags. Thomas has such attention to detail he is a great host and is keen to ensure all his guests have the best experience. Thankyou Thomas for making our stay so special. We will come again and recommend Chez Thomas at every opportunity !

Having to leave. We had only booked one night as a stopover on our way to the Caen ferry.

We were offered a choice of breakfast the evening before. Continental, a Normandy choice of meats and cheeses or a full English. We went for the full English and it was excellent, couldn't believe it was included in the price. Our room was large as was the bed, spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a large shower and again very clean and well appointed. The location was rural but the sat nav found it. Would use again.

Considering the size of the room an extra chair would have been useful but being picky

A beautiful house in the most peaceful, scenic location. We stayed in The Rose Room, which was more than ample in size, as was the bathroom, which has a wet room. All fully equipped with everything you would need. Everything was spotless and very well presented. Our host Thomas was extremely welcoming and attentive. His advice regarding where to visit, eat and purchase supplies was appreciated. There is a choice of three breakfasts and we chose two from the three and both were delicious. Parking is ample and secure. You can relax in the large garden and admire the stunning views. We absolutely adored our stay here and have planned a return visit already! Chez Thomas is definitely the number one place you should choose if you're looking to stay in the area!

Absolutely nothing!

Chez Thomas is situated in a beautiful location. The room was comfortable and clean with picturesque views across the Normandy countryside. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of local cheeses, continental or English breakfast. From the moment I arrived, the host was friendly and hospitable and was even kind enough to make me coffee and allow me to hang around in the dining room after I'd checked out while I waited for my friend to charge our electric car.

Thomas is a great host who has a wonderful warm approach, he welcomed us and showed us to our room, where there was everything we needed. He asked us for our preference on breakfast gave us a selection to choose from and a time. What a great personal service! This is our 2nd stay here and we will return. We had a wonderful stay, slept well and an amazing breakfast. Location is within easy reach to Caen ferry, St mont michel, bayeux and many other interesting places. The photos of Chez Thomas are all absolutely spot on what we saw on booking.com when reserving is exactly what we had in the room on both occasions. We aim to stay in the poppy room next time !

Having to leave and not having enough of our holiday left to stay another night

Lovely place, slightly off 'beaten track' but means quiet and releaxing location. No noise at night even with windows open. Stayed in 'Rose Room', spacious room with tv, and large wardrobe if staying for a while. Ensuite bathroom great size too, bath, twin basin cabinet and shower, and found the haridresser, nice touch. Thomas has put real effort to make this place homely and welcoming. The farmhouse feel to the breakfast makes you part of the 'household'. Breakfast was lovely, we had one english and one normandie. Its a shame we had to miss breakfast on second morning, early start for ferry. Earliest breakfast time is 8am. Our loss. Thanks Thomas

Shame about missing breakfast, maybe we'll get later boat next time

Tom was very outgoing, welcoming and friendly. Cooked a wonderful English breakfast for me and brought several kinds of cheeses for my spouse. We talked over breakfast and learned many interesting facts about him and his lifestyle. Our room was very clean and stylish in a good way. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Must thank Tom for his patience as we arrived much later than check-in time. Great place, best of luck.

Alot of room. The host was very informative and helpful plus a very pleasant man to speak with. Good breakfast. The house has a great atmosphere and history. Well positioned for exploring normandy.

When I take into account the age and feel I got of the house, I find it hard if not impossible to say anything bad about this wonderful place.

Breakfast was excellent with 3 choices covering all bases. Location was a little out of the way but very picturesque and quiet.

Nothing really. The weather was very hot which made the room very hot and maybe a better cooling system would have helped make it a bit more comfortable.
