The location, the welcome, the friendliness, the room, the food, the service, the cooking expertise, the knowledge of the staff, the wine selection (in their hands, entirely), the parking facilities, the seclusion, the breakfast, the attention to detail and everything else. I didn't like that I hadn't known about the place earlier. If ever you are in the Anjou, or in or near Angers itself, it is well worthwhile the trip out to Behiard to visit l'Audacieuse. Don't expect a huge menu or fast food, expect the best of French cooking from an expert!

Very nice restaurant and chambre d'hote wirhin a tiny, picturesque village on an island of the Loire. The hosts are really lovely and most welcoming, and they also run the delicious little restaurant. Advance booking is mandatory...

Not so easy to find the route to the parking in front of the restaurant -you need to go around the village and come in from the back- and the road within the village is very narrow.

The room was located in a new extension of a historical building with a nice garden in the center of a little village. Room and bathroom were modern and in perfect condition, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and of best quality. Armelle is a very nice host making our stay comfortable and pleasant.

Superb - everything from the very welcoming owners to the beautifully prepared and cooked evening meals and breakfasts. Our room was very comfortable with lovely decor and super shower room. We were made most welcome and would definitely return again.

This place is a gem. Only three bedrooms and 20 covers in the restaurant but you have to try this. The food is exceptional, the welcome warm and the location second to none. I cannot fault this place; it's a little slice of heaven.

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms, delicious food and a very friendly attentive owner. Perfect for a relaxing stay after flight. Will definitely return, for another extended stay.

Very nice and cosy place in very unusual corner on the island. Good quality, very clean. Delicious croissants with fruits for the breakfast. Highly recommended.

Very nice Gite on the small island of Behuard, along the Loire. The people are nice and the ambiance calm and relaxing!
