Beautiful setting. Good food. Friendly staff. Very good wine list from less than 20€ a bottle.

On arrival there was nobody on reception but a number to phone for which I had to use my own phone. The room had a strange set-up with the bathroom and toilet situated behind the bed head but the toilet was at the opposite side of the bed to the bathroom. The rubbish bin in the bathroom had not been emptied since the previous guest.

The castle is beautiful, the restaurant for dinner was superb, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Our room was not in the main building, which made us feel a little less important 🙂. The room itself was smaller than we needed for the family of three traveling with a few suitcases. We stayed three nights and wanted to have our clothes in the wardrobe or chest of drawers, but there was only a shelf unit with 4 shelves.

We had a room in the out-building. It was a nicely renovated room with all facilities (air conditioning, Nespresso machine, water boiler, safe, etc.). Easy parking. Good breakfast. Amazing dinner in the restaurant. Easy and quick service from reception.

There was a plastic bathtub, which was unusual to step in to for showering.

Nice, large rooms, Nice pool, rustic and beautiful surroundings. Very kind staff in all segments.

We slept in one of the outbuildings on the ground floor. We constantly heard the people above us moving around. After taking a shower the entire bathroom was completely wet. We would not recommend the Crêperie: the food was not exactly what you expect from a 4-star hotel.

We had tickets to Puy de Fou and (luckily) couldn’t get into any of the on site hotels so booked at Barbiniere….what a stroke of luck. The hotel was a great place to relax after a theme park day. Tranquil swimming pool, lovely grounds to wander around and a horse with her goal just next to our room! The château has been decorated very stylishly with some great pieces of art work and a clever mix of old and contemporary….. we like this as it’s such a change from anonymous chains or horrid bad taste brown french decor ( we are still in shock from a hotel in Normandy which has brown carpet on the bedroom walls!!!!!) We will be back! PS the rest of our family stayed in another chateau near to us…..more expensive and looked the a school holiday camp!!!!!!

It would have been great if the hotel offered dog rooms

Very nice property in a beautiful and calm location. We arrived late after a full day at Puy du fou and were able to check-in very late. Staff was here to welcome us and take us to the room. The room was large and comfortable for us with our 2 kids.

Could add curtains for privacy in the room

The food was magnificent. A very small menu but everything was delicious Make sure to eat in the restaurant in the main building

Dining room is mostly glass so bring a jacket in Autumn, it gets cold at night

Stopped in gatehouse which is 180 m from main house. Flight of stairs to our room. Lovely bed, shower and tea and coffee making facilities. Had great meal in restaurant
